I was talking about the decider match here.....

The gentlemen stated that eight ball was more difficult for the pros on seven footers because of congestion and limited space and I said Shane was running racks like there was no tomorrow on the seven foot table. See link above
The eight ball invitational will be nine or ten foot table and far more difficult
I think it's more tactical on a seven footer but more beautiful on a nine footer.
In 2009 at the Riviera during the BCA National Championships, all comers were permitted to play in the grand masters bar table eight ball event, and the field was a who's who of pool. I watched several of the matches. The winner was a highly skilled amateur named Simon Pickering, who beat Dennis Orcullo, Roberto Gomez and Shane Van Boening to win the title. Pickering seemed tactically superior to all three of them on a barbox.
I may be wrong, but my guess is that Pickering would have had a much harder time outrunning these superstars on a big table.
Two different games, both difficult.
