He also played an ridiculous safe by soft kicking the length of the rable into his only ball and somehow hooking Mika on it despite the open table. It was a shot one might see in 1 pocket, but I've never seen anything like that in 8 ball.

I think it was because the red and yellow made commentary difficult.
 
So after 1 day and 4 matches, Darren has pole position winning 2 out of 2
Bad 1st day for Alex losing 2 out of 2 and is in danger of being eliminated- if he loses to Shane 7pm today he is eliminated

Earl was an ass with Shane when he lost to Shane in USO. Let's hope Earl behaves today and let his pool do the talking (which I know is a pipe dream) :grin:
I think sitting the 2 players right next to each other may cut down Earl's shenanigans-we will see.

IMHO, The match of day will be Alex v Shane at 7pm cos Alex will be fighting for survival- let us see what the Lion does when he is cornered
Another good match is Darren v Earl at 9pm - Would like to see how Earl behaves sitting right next to Darren LOL
Buste v Mika at 3pm also great match as both have 1 loss and they want to get a win under their belt
Heck what am I talking about all 4 matches are super duper superstar matches.

Earl just beat Shane 10-8 so now Earl is 2 wins out of 2
Watch out Earl wants to win the whole thing :D
 
Spartan you say if Alex loses he is eliminated. There really is no elim. Each player plays 5 matches. He gets $1000 for every match he wins. If a player loses the first 4 he can still match $1000 by winning his last match.

I mean if Alex loses he will have no chance to be overall champ by topping the table or be in tiebreaker for playoff final. If he loses he will be have 3 losses which means he cannot be in top 2. Of cos he can still play remaining 2 matches

Wow, Shane just lost rack 5 by fouling potting the black ball, Now Alex ahead 4-1 :grin:
 
Alex breaks wet, pots 1 ball but misses easy red stripe in corner
Shane runs our and now Alex 8-7
Looking at hill hill match soon ,, :grin:

Shane puts in mega break but turns up dry
Alex has open table and runs out nicely. Pots last stripe but drew back CB into centre pocket
BIH for shane and he runs out so now 8-.
Alex now breaks and it is dry
 
Great out by Shane and he gets to hill first leading 9-8
Incredible as Shane was down 2-7 at one stage

Shane breaks but has rough uneasy table. Makes some great shots to break up his stripes but down to last 11 stripe he snookered himself behind solid 7. Kicks it but missed giving BIH to Alex. Alex runs out so now hill hill 9-9
Alex breaks and has nice open table :D
 
Alex breaks and runs out to win 10-9
A match of 3 thirds. First third Alex runs to big lead 7-2 at one stage after some rack losing errors by Shane like fouling 8 ball, giving up BIH. Second third, Shane catches up by a dry break spell by Alex, Last third, Alex grinds out to win :D

next up match between the 2 table toppers, Darren v Earl. Both are 2 wins out of 2
