I never got to see this match. Is there somewhere I can go to watch it?

I couldn't find Part Three (Games 7 and 8 of the 15), but here is the rest of it. The match lasted about 9 hours.

If you hope he and his family are doing well, why the insulting photos? I have no respect for you Lou. You're a little man Lou who took advantage of someone who was emotionally unstable. It's pretty simple.

Barton's mentally unstable, of course, but dont forget his motivation for doing this either. He now charges $200 for a nylon box.

We all paid for that match.

You do know that John paid for those photos, don't you?

In the months leading up to the match John insulted me nonstop for five months and, by-and-large, I ignored him. Somewhere in all of that John insisted that the match be streamed and recorded. At first it was going to be Ray of Big Truck productions. Then, because the match was going to be at Sandcastle, home of the Accu-Stats Arena, John ended up working out a deal with Pat Fleming.

John paid out of his own pocket for the production, streaming, and to have a GC moved into the arena. He was the one who insisted that the match be recorded for posterity. His words were to the effect of: I want this match to be recorded for posterity so that when I beat you it will, forever, be seared into your mind.

And so it shall be.

Terms of Ban

I havent read all the posts, my apologies but:

What are the terms of JB's ban?

Thats a shame

As I understand it he didn't get banned, he left voluntarily. All of his posts were deleted, apparently by his own request.

Well thats a shame. I dont think John is a halfway kind of guy. When he is in he's all in. The dude can put together a case, hes good at that I understand so he knows his business no doubt. Perhaps he will be able to back up and regroup and come at things from a different perspective. I hope so, this is a great game, its not a religion and certainly nothing to get all bent out of shape over.

."I'll take that bet, you're going to regret, cuz I'm the best that's ever been"

Too bad we can't trade CJ for John, and throw in some common sense ;-)

Lou Figueroa

how original......

Maybe you and I can play some even one-pocket and I'll use a "jump cue".....or I'll give you the "FIVE Ball and the Break" playing 9 Ball OR 10 Ball.....maybe your "common sense" will tell you to play.....or maybe your "common fear" will tell you not to. ;)

Name your game, don't just blame, grab a rack, for as much as you can stack. LoL

I've always wanted to get "Loucifer" on the pool table....."I'll take that bet, you're going to regret, cuz I'm the best that's ever been" - Charlie Daniels

You're welcome Lou. I just wanted to say hello, out of respect. Just because you two (you and JB) had/have this feud, doesn't mean I don't like you both. That said, it was a poor move to post the pics of JB. You won, "fair & square", but there's really no need to rub it in. There are many times when I am friends with both sides of an internet argument. I try to stay neutral. One exception is idiots like Tim, aka The Thaiger, aka Ron Swanson. As far as my Derby experience...it was outstanding. I actually beat a world champion!

Also, thanks, Scott, for stopping by and saying hello during one of my matches at the Derby this year.

Just curious: what event(s) did you get in and how'd you do?

Lou,

As I said, he is obviously emotionally unstable and you're not. You proved your point. You may view this as if you were handling an online bully, but I don't. I admit I found the match entertaining in a bullfight sort of way, but you don't see the toreador jumping up and down on the bull's carcass wishing him and his family well.

Was it CJ, with his two ball challenge?

Because of the way John acted prior to the match, if I was Lou, there would be photos in my signature, I would have had someone photoshop John's face onto a mule, and I would still be talking smack.

No matter how you feel about Lou, he endured a TON of smack and abuse prior to the match. I would say this regardless of who Lou played and they acted in that manner.

As far as this posted money nonsense.. well I guess if Lou set up shop in a third world country and paid third world wages and made his 10k off of the sweat of others, I guess that would be OK?

So you were in the 9ball?

So now you're making out John to be a Special Olympics poster child. John had his issues but he knows how to gamble, so I ain't buying' it.

And oh by the way, 30 years ago I lived in a little town just outside of Madrid for several years and had the opportunity to see some of the best bull fighters in the world during San Isidro festival. I saw some of them get seriously gored. The bull don't got to lose.

Lou Figueroa
OK, so they eventually kill him
but he can get his licks in :-)

I agree, John had so much to offer the forum, it's a shame he decided to be exclusive on Face Book....hopefully that will change in the near future.

Too bad we can't trade Lou for John, and throw in a set of balls. ;)

You of all people, CJ, should appreciate the balance that having both JB and Lou here provides, kind of a ying and yang sort of thing :p

I appreciate both guys here. I have disagreed with both, but appreciate them just the same. They are part of this forums culture. Part of its history. Both have been good with forum newbies, including myself way back when. Both have lots to share, and both occasionally go too far. Still, they are true to themselves, and put it out there for all to see.

I would love to have a beer with either, or both. That cannot be said of everyone here, sadly.

I'm only kidding - I don't even know Lou

Of course, I'm only kidding - I don't even know Lou so my opinion is based on humor.

Well, I thought you and I had come to an agreement that that type of humor is not proper here. Apparently, you just meant it wasn't proper to direct it at you.

But thanks for the free DVDs anyway, and I still owe you a steak dinner whenever we are in the same area. Watched Earl beat you the other night in the "Million Dollar Challenge" semi-final, looking forward to seeing you return the favor.
