Fear of Feel

Will you take on ALL challengers to YOUR title on YOUR table for the cash? I think I can find some players who believe they can take the crown.

Aloha.

Sure will, But, just remember that I was ONCE a made up world champ! :rotflmao1::rotflmao1::rotflmao1:

I have no problems if he put Player of the Year in front of his name, since that is something that he was recognized with by the pool organizations at the time.

However, World Champion is not appropriate. That invitational tournament was not recognized by any sanctioning body in pool.

Do the winners of Charlie Williams World Straight Pool Tournament call themselves world champions? They don't because it is not a recognized World Championship by any sanctioning body.

These facts are indisputable and are not a slight on CJ or his ability.

Finally, if I may add, I hold player of the year honors in higher regard than World Champion for reasons that you can figure out if you think about it some.

I think this was the 1st. troll of CJ in THIS thread, insinuating that he just stuck 'World Champion' in front of his name ONLY for marketing credibility reasons.

It doesn't matter that he really won the title, invitational or not, decades ago & was also voted Player of the Year.

Yeah, right, he just stuck it in front of his name for marketing reasons. He didn't really win the title. Someone else must have won it.

According to Neil only one(1) individual recognizes the title other than CJ.

Well, I think almost ALL of us know that that is simply a false statement.

At least two(2) industry magazines seem to have recognized it as a comparable title.

... Do the winners of Charlie Williams World Straight Pool Tournament call themselves world champions? ...

Some do, legitimately. Dragon Promotions has produced the world's most significant 14.1 event for the past 9 years. In 4 of those years, the event was an official WPA World Championship (2006 Hohmann, 2007 Ortmann, 2008 Feijen, and 2010 Ortmann).

And the other 5?

I guess you still don't understand that.

Tony,

I understand a lot of what some go around suggesting that others don't understand.

I also understand the spirit of what some do & at times why they do what they do. I think many lurking readers here do too.

I don't think too many are concerned with what you or I or Neil have a problem.

Perhaps it would be better to be clarified, but it does not say 'Current WPA World Open 9 Ball Champion'.

If anyone asks CJ, 'What World Championship did you Win?', do you think CJ is not going to tell them the truth?

The words World Championship are in the Title (that he won). The entire title description will not fit there anyway. I also understand the times & a bit of what was going on at that time.

I would hazard to guess that you know that it is not just about the title. Again, I think many readers do too.

If it were just about that it could have & would have been brought up in a much more appropriate manner.

I don't need to defend CJ. He is quite capable of defending himself.

I will say this, IMO, CJ Wiley is the World Champion of past & current professional players for fading the crap that can be thrown at him from the bowels of AZB.

I will apologize for perhaps over reacting today as I realize that I may have still been stinging from the crap of another that also trolls me.

That said, it really does not change anything that I said, I may just not have said as much.

I'm a bit sorry that I gave the trolls too much of just what they want.

I am sorry to say it, for the younger generation, but perhaps CJ should pack it in here & find another outlet from which he can contribute. Sometimes the well being of the one, outway the benefit of the many.

Maybe any Pro being here just brings out the worst of AZB.

Best 2 All,
Rick

Now who's the one trying to drive the pros away?

Don't worry Neil. I don't think he is trying to drive you and CJ away. You will still be the World Champion of your basement and I don't take that lightly. Champs are champs in my book.

Now who's the one trying to drive the pros away?

So... You finally admit, that it was you, Neil that has all along been trying to drive CJ away just as you have driven away every other Pro Player that dared to post in what you perceived as your domain.

I'm quite capable of playing your childish word game crap until pigs fly.

Unfortunately for you, & unlike you... I grew up about 45 years ago.

So... you'll just have to go trolling for another.

I don't know why management allows you to continue with your childish games for no purpose other than you own perversions.

Again, May Blessings come your way, Neil.

Rather strong statement, do you care to list the pros that Neal has driven away?

I have been a member since 2006 and lurked for 6 years prior, I don't recall any.

I think almost anyone else can put the statements in context & understand their meaning.

You must have played the same games as Neil at some time or another.

Exactly what did I not understand about what you wrote, and quoted?

So back to the question, who are the other pro players that Neal has driven away?

Hmmmm, I think our little boy is jealous. When YOU grow up, maybe you'll be able to jump like a pro too. The only hard part is...growing up!

If your so good why did u turn down my invitation to gamble? At the time u called me just an apa superstar but refused to play this CTE user. Now why is that.

Little problem with your reading there, Rick??

Thanks for the laugh.

I bet everyone but a select few can see the sarcasm in that post of mine as pertaining to Neil's comment about me trying to drive CJ, a pro, away.

I think even that select few could see it & admit that they see it if they were not disingenuous.

You guys have a good time playing your games.

I'll put my faith in the readership's ability to see the real forest through your camouflage.

Give it up man. CJ won his title on ESPN against the likes of George San Souci, Shannon Daulton, Jose Parica, Ortmann etc. It is legit.

CJ was top caliber player. He reached a level in pool that 99% of people will never reach in anything in their life. You cant compare so dont even try. Do not even try to compare as a joke in an attempt to take away his credibility because again your attempts look foolish and petty and scream out that you are jealous of CJ perhaps because you want to be the authority on here but you know that in fact you are nothing more than a mediocre player who struggles to score well on Dr. Daves Billiard University while doing the test on a valley bar table.

Again, please, just give it up.

What one may think is a lock up, another may think...opportunity. I'm sorry you lack the imagination to see a shot where other's do not!

Yeah an opportunity to do something other than jump.

My point was that a true lock up safety will make jumping a practically impossible solution.

When playing a safety, the very FIRST thing you should look at is if you can freeze the CB or get it as close as possible to another ball and eliminate the option to jump. Secondly, you should try to take away as many kicking routes as you can.

You railed on Spidey because he did not recognize the sarcasm in a post before, at least then you used an emoticon to convey the intended humor.

You did not use one in this post this in this post. Thus you are probably the only member to recognize your statement as sarcasm.

You can't have it both ways Rick.

I call BS.

I am thinking maybe a poll of your statement is in order on the main forum. Lets see how many of the readership interpret your statement as sarcasm.

What do you think? You going to PM the whole membership now?

Thanks for the laugh.
