It is gratifying to see, that a recognized expert, at conveying billiard knowledge, has similar thoughts as mine !..I was beginning to think there was more than ONE Mr. Liakos, who seems to easily grasp everything that flows from the (shall we politely say) 'seriously' altered' mind, of his hero !
..I am extremely grateful, that I can 'turn off' the part of my brain, that would allow me to make ANY sense at all, of anything that Mr. Wiley can conjure up !.. I do NOT consider it a gift, Mr.Liakos..It is a necessity, for any 'normal' rational person who wishes to retain their sanity ! :sorry:
PS..However, I do admire Mr.L's uncanny ability, to make a silk purse, out of a sow's ear !..Or, in the case of CJ's ramblings,..a Nuclear-powered Aircraft Carrier, out of a six foot rowboat.(full of holes) :wink:

I also see the entire table as two perfect squares, that are created by smaller squares (diamond quadrants), that are made by tiny squares of 1 1/8". It's how you identify subtle shifts in your eye placement, which cause illusions and missed shots. The same also helps identify strong alignments. I think I posted the above image back in 2007 or 2008.
Well, if he was "at one time a good pool player," why didn't you take him up on his offer to give you the last 4 playing 10ball, or whatever the monster spot was?

You're trying to play the "smart" guy right? Ok, let me ask you this question. If you were a member of a forum, say,,,,, I don't know,,, "pool". If you were at a certain level and you could justifiably know your level through constant drills and recording them. If you took the advice of someone(especially a world class player) who took the time to write a couple emails about trying to do something a certain way to help, and that brought your shotmaking % up by at least 10%, would you give that person any credit whatsoever??

You know, I have a small idea of how it is for CJ! I am/was an automotive technician and was pretty good at. Specializing in electrical, I could diagnose anything fairly quickly.
I was always trying to help those under me to understand automotive electrical because it gives me a great "high" to know I helped someone get there. BUT, there were a few jealous ones, especially when they knew I was making close to 6 figures doing what I did!
But nobody,,,,NOBODY saw the endless hrs of reading and countless nights staying after work and taking my scope and meters out and "learning" what I know today!
There is a sense of confidence when I walk through the door "knowing" I will figure it out! I guess CJ has that same mindset when he comes on here! He knows he will be dealing with strong players and C players and people like me somewhere in the middle(closer to the "C's") and he deals with all of us accordingly!
Good for you CJ, to that respect, I have a pretty good idea of how it feels
And yes(if anybody asks) it's an AWESOME feeling. And because of the blood sweat and tears it cost to get here, good for us

Can you name a PAO, at any level, who ever said what "they" thought and not what "somebody else" told them to say? It is people like you who try to tell people "what to think".
