The Hustlers: Season 1 Episode 8-July 3, 2015 Thread

Yes, the pockets at Castle Billiards are tight. This isn't uncommon situation at Castle.

The table they were playing on was the only one open because it was extremely tight. Jarrod was showing how the corners were not wide enough to accept two balls. The corners were less than 4" from what it appeared to be-a lot less than two balls width.

The table you photographed can fit two inside, so it's 4.5" just like a diamond table. Mike and Jarrod would've had no problem with those pockets.

Maybe a castle billiards regular can come on here to give us a table number and measurements? They were on the toughest table in the house. Ctyhntr?

...i happen to know the table and it is tough like mr t the holes are tiny the rails are super bouncy its a house table ..the rest of the tables in castle arent sewers but play great
im not a regular anywhere but ive played a ton on it and its rediculous tight

Starting. to. lose. interest.

I mean, are we just gonna see the list of the top 10 play each other, with some of them "b" players at best. Don't kill the messenger, someone on the show called Duddy and Smiley "b" players, and they didn't complain.

what, Mikey Frost can't pick up a cue ?? Next week they are going to another pool room to play some, that might just be enough to bring me back

Only 3 episodes left? Damn....Put me among those who enjoy it. Laughing at Amy looking for an edge by using spas, voodoo shops, etc. Guess she doesn't believe in table time and drills.

Love watching Dechaine...too bad SVB can't (won't?) do a cameo...

I've seen Adam Kielar play a few times too and plays pretty damn good. Him playing Jarrod should be a good match too.

I don't see Jarrod beating Adam but we will see .. Be interesting to see Matt on camera he's not real talkative but Adam will pick up that slack with no problem

I loved watching the girls ask Mike and Jarrod if they wanted action back and got crickets. Praying this show stays on the air.

How in the HECK could they lose? And why in the hell did they not play them again ??

I mean, holy crap. The tighter table has to benefit the better players, and they played just god awful.

The pockets are a hair under 3 7/8". The rest of the tables there the pockets are sewers 5"

Wow, that is tough. Much respect for Emily and smiley to take down some difficult shots and run outs on such pockets under the pressure of the cameras and money match.

That can be debatable. I would rather play a weaker player I am giving weight on a loose table. Yes, it will help them a little, but it turns me into a superstar.
I am not just throwing this out for discussion I have seen it happen.

I was in with Toby Sweet playing a guy and they got on a real tough table the first night and it was a war. Toby was giving him quite a bit of weight.

The next night they were on a different table playing the same game with pretty much normal pockets and it was like Toby was playing by himself. The guy was never at the table. I have seen this same thing numerous times over the years.

Just watched this latest episode on my DVR ... I thought it was the best yet. I hope they get renewed. There was more pool and less BS, except for the Voo doo part.
