Top Ten US 9/10 ball players

No Particular order.

SVB
Steve Moore
Johnny Archer
Rodney Morris
Jonathan Hennessee
Shawn Putnam
Larry Nevel
Corey Dueul
Earl Strickland
Tommy Kennedy
Haven't seen Stevie Moore playing much recently. I spoke with him once at Hard Times. Very nice guy. Hope all is well with him

Guessing you missed the Derby City 9-ball and Turning Stone as Jeremy Sossei's not on your list. He was brilliant in his third place finish at the Derby City 9-ball and was the highest American finisher behind Kiamco and Pagulayan. He was fourth at the last Turning Stone in a field of giants, the highest finishing American behind Shaw, Morra and Immonen.

My top ten, in in order:

1. Shane Van Boening
2. Mike Dechaine
3. Rodney Morris
4. Justin Hall
5. Jeremy Sossei
6. Justin Bergman
7. Oscar Dominguez
8. Brandon Shuff
9. Johnny Archer
10. Sky Woodward

One of the worse lists I've ever saw. Quite possibly got. 4 guys not in the top 10, definitely 3 that are not

My turn

1.SVB
2.Mike Dechaine
3.Dennis Hatch
4.Johnny Archer
5.Rodney Morris
6.Corey Deuel
7.Jeremy Jones
8.Justin Bergman
9.Justin Hall
10.John Schmidt

... Let face it, to be one of the five or six highest finishing American finishers in an event is a trivial accomplishment. Corey isn't really one of the US players to watch anymore except in one pocket.

But the original question was who are the top 10 US players in 9/10-Ball. I provided some evidence that Corey may still be one of those 10, even if you consider a 5th- or 6th-place finish among Americans to be "a trivial accomplishment."

Chris Bartrum could probably make a lot of the guys on these lists sweat

Bartram is number 21, but he's only 12 points behind #10 (Deuel)--12 points is only one game on the wire to 13--so it's pretty close quarters up there.

A lot of these folks can make one another sweat--we're talking about who elicits more sweat more often...

Who are the top ten based on your rating system?

Your system needs some extensive tweaking

lol... Our lists have 7 out of 10 in common! There is no tweaking involved in what we do. And also no subjective judgment.

Several mentioned woodward, sossei, Oscar, and hall. These are all within the next 12, and once again players get pretty close there. The highest-rated unmentioned player is Josh Roberts.

Ha, nice. I spent about half an hour on my list! That was not super easy to pick:)

Actually, it subtracts from the discussion, for several reasons:

1) Includes bar table events, 2) includes one pocket events, 3) includes bank pool and even includes bank pool ring game. When figuring out who the best American 9/10 ball players, none of these events are relevant.
