Perhaps MD believes he was lied to and being told he was the #3 seed was just to get him to attend. Then they put him at #15 and say "opps". On FB he said he actually liked the round robin group they put him in. But my speculation is he didn't like the deception so he withdrew.

While I realize the Facebook is supposed to be a social thing, that's pretty far from the way "professional" has ever been described to me.

Mike withdrew after Finnegan reset the board, and he lost a match to Ross while Amy made fun of his big head.

Charlie is questionable in his motivations. Ask him why the seed was changed...

"Plain and simple. Charlie was putting the money up for me to play in the tournament as the #3 seed (I don't think I'm the number 3 seed) and was going to collect half of my winnings. I then decided to put myself in and was changed from the #3 seed to a 9-16th seed. It bothered me that charlie can and did place players where he wanted to line his own pockets because I was not the only player he had put in. So I just decided not to play. That is what happened."

Seems like everyone is out for themselves! I can see the frustrations on both sides on this one. But, I still want to know the buy in/pay out on this tourney! That's a huge factor in it!
Also, what we will most likely never know is how did the whole thing start! Who asked who to play in it first and who said who was putting in who and for how much!
I guess in the end of it all, its just another "hustle"
oh, by the way, I think they have a tv show out called "hustlers"! Maybe they are learning the "moves" Lmao!!

charlie williams is a real shady character; has been for some time.
mike dechaine is a brash, cocky, pool player with whom you always know where you stand because he is largely unfiltered.

Charlie bumped him down since Charlie no long had a piece of his action. Total garbage.
Demolishes the integrity of an otherwise prestigious tournament.
Absolutely nothing prestigious about any event run that Charlie has his hand in. Sad for the game of 14.1 especially.
