Shoot or duck?
I shot.
Made the 2 and 6.
5 stayed in place.
Got good on 3 (cb replaced 6 on rail)
Thot I it it good.:groucho::groucho:
But gave up BIH/LD ruled bad hit(6 first).
...it all happened quickly...Hit shot with some pace to carom cb...needed slo-mo replay:sorry:
Would you guys have played safe? How/where?
Sorry guys...just got home.
Thanks for the responses.
I considered rolling off the 2 soft to get behind the 6, but it was too scratchey at the required slow roll speed.
The back side carom looked real good on the 2, with the natural tickey cb path into the 6. It helped that the 6 was off the rail just a bit. The widened opposite corner pocket for the kicked 2ball, cinched the decision to shoot, as well as the generous shape options on the 3 after the predictable stoppage of the cb by the 6.
It all laid real good. and went smooth until the 'bad hit' call. As mentioned, the 2 went clean in the opposite corner without disturbing the 5.
The cb 'stalled' for just a moment as the 2 started to travel then went down the tickey backside tangent line to pocket the 6, and stayed about where the 6 started.
When I looked at the shot, it didn't look like I could get to the 6 first unless I hit a semi-masse with 3 tips of left english
I hit the cb with center stun at a moderate speed...looking for accuracy and cb movement after the kick-carom.
If I had hit the 6 first, the two would not have gone straight at the pocket, it would have gone wide. And the 2 would not have traveled first, imho.
I think there was just too much going on, in rapid succession for the LD to get the call correct. He stood directly above the 2/6, looking straight down at the two balls...I think it was a blur from that perspective.
Wachagonnado?
thanks for listening to the rant...I never said a word to LD...no point in doing so....the decision had been made...been down this road before..

...it was a face palm moment...lol, I can laugh now, but not then.
take care
