Took The Pro-Cut Ridgeback Rails Off

I took the Pro-Cut Ridgeback rails off and put the standard Valley's back on. I want to see if I can run 100 balls one more time before I can no longer play. No way I could run 100 with the 4 1/4" Ridgebacks on. If the OB just grazes rail...it says "not today Jose. Johnnyt

What is that equal to on a 9ft, like a run of 30 or so? But, I guess you have a point, running 100 on a 7ft Valley bar box is no easy feat, probably only maybe 70 out of a 100 regular 14.1 players could even step up to the plate to face that challenge....as the world turns, we'll all hold our breath until you pull this miracle off.....nothing else exciting going on with AZ, so the excitement of the week might as well be checking in on ol' Johnny to see what he's up to....:rotflmao1:

How much did you lose? Did you take it easy on him and let him win so he wouldn't feel bad? All that really mattered anyways is that you knew you were the best.

No, you just challenged for proof like it was so hard to do, like it's some major feat or something, like it's close to breaking the 7ft bar box world record high run playing 14.1....what is the record by the way, that everyone should aspire to break it and set a new high score?

I have no idea what the record is. But, I do know that running a hundred, even on a bar box, is no wheres near as easy as you make it out to be.

Sure it's easy....he gambled with Mr. 300 and that's a lot harder than running 100 balls on a bar box. I mean all he had to do was walk up to the table and throw down a roll of $100's and say, "I've come to donate".

That all depends on if the person plays 14.1 all the time, there's a straight pool thread here on AZB, throw the question out there and see what kind of feed back you get about how hard it is to run a 100 on a Valley 7ft, with stock, huge corner pockets.....you might be suprised at the responses.

Still doesn't explain why you felt the need to crap all over an older man that has had a stroke and wants to see if he can still do it one more time. Why make fun of him by saying it's so easy to do that it is basically meaningless anyways?

Well, I guess it's because I just don't care much for Johnnyt, because he's pretty fast at throwing out the negative comments when it comes to others here on AZ, as well as several Pro players I know of, and the fact that never really has anything meaningful to say, but sure does post a lot....or it could be because not so far back he's accused me of being nothing more than a furniture assembler, in which I felt was disrespectful at the time.

If it's true that Johnny accused you of being a furniture assembler, I can understand your feeling. That was indeed very disrespectful to furniture assemblers.

Reason I ask is, I'm getting my GC set up in a couple of months and, looking at the space, I'll have room for a 7 footer as well. Instead of spending lots of $ on a Diamond, I was thinking I could just get a Valley on the cheap and install the Ridgeback pro cut rails instead.

The place I play at where I currently live has Valleys with fast Penguin rails and it makes the tables play tougher, but not by much because of the shallow shelf. I actually like how tough the 3-something inch middle pockets are though. I've never been a fan of the bar box but it looks like I'll be laying down some roots here and won't be moving out of the area for a very long time...if ever, and it's all about the bar box around here so I should probably just get used to playing on them. When in Rome...

Edit: And FWIW, I think running 100 on any table is a feat to be proud of.

I really can't answer the middle pocket question, as my Ridgebacks are customs with 4 1/4" for all 6 pockets...so my sides were tough. Thank you for the kind words. Johnnyt
