I actually came back looking for the status of a few players I know who were competing in some challenge matches and tournaments.

FWIW, I don't post with the same frequency as I once did, but sometimes I do like to share a pool-related thread, like the Mika v. Jayson match that is going on tomorrow night in Richmond. That is cool pool news that some may enjoy knowing about.

Of course, when one posts and somebody posts back, one feels compelled to reply. And it goes on and on. There is something peaceful about lurking in this regard. You get to read all about the latest pool smut without any back-and-forth.

Onepocket.org has had numerous pros over the years and yet there's rarely a post by them nowadays. I've looked up some on here and it seems they just disappear as there's only so much they want to put out there. Heck, look at the Ask the Pro section.

All it took is someone disagreeing with you or Keith to bring the wrath, or even a bikini picture. Yet, you've never once apologized even when you knew were wrong. Is that what you mean about people behaving differently on here?

Like another mentioned, most just want freebies for nothing and the ones that do stick around have something to sell.

We have Barton going and ruining every freakin thread his touches with a million rambling posts, nobody can disagree with another without some baby calling them a hater, troll or naysayer, people like Thaiger and Champ making new aliases regularly, even Mr 3C had a duplicate. For that matter, many others do, too. People want their butts kissed, want to tell svb how to play, want to say what's wrong with pool and how it's dying, but don't do a damned thing to benefit pool.

CJ must love FB. I've taken a peak and all he does is repost the same crap there, just like he does here. The only difference is that so many more people haven't read his copy and pastes there before, so they fall for it.

See, i don't care what people think of me and I'll call them out on what they say in their posts. I'm also putting my money where my mouth is and trying to do something, instead of crying all over azb and getting in the way. There are many good people here. There are also many people that act like teenagers and form their little "i got your back" cliques, run to mommy when they read something they don't like and just generally act immature towards others.

Great to be back and seeing the yaytrollers and a few others clamoring for a cool-kids' playground once more. Whoop. Dee. Doo.

Cheers. One thing I've noticed: Americans in the pub are a great laugh. Americans on here, much less so. Not all, obviously, but many seem to take the written word far more personally than the spoken word.

What's that all about?

It's often true of the written versus spoken word. The classic British satirical humor, which relies on irony and clever quips, goes over us quite often anyway. We can't see that quick smile that goes along with the jesting.

In the 1970's I attended a stand up comedy performance in London at the Palladium. The audience was largely American. The comic couldn't get more than a few chuckles. After 10 frustrating minutes he finally blurted out , slowly in a VERY American accent, "Martha, I can't understand a damn word he's saying!". Of course, the whole place roared.

This place has got so many negative people in it. From the (_______) members to the (______) mods! I just come by, take a quick peak and leave! So much better being out of sight

For what it's worth, I miss you the most Jenny! I always enjoyed your posts. I do see the reason for not hanging around here. It's NOT worth it!

What AZ needs is a complete reset, from the top to the bottom! But then again, I'm wrong and they are correct! Cool, keep it going like it is and see how long it lasts.

You want to disagree then fine, just don't be a defaming jerk when doing it. Whether you believe it or not words can be very hurtful. Everyone knows this or they wouldn't try so hard to piss people off with their words.

Anytime you engage with someone you can choose to state your point without attacking them in any personal way OR you can get in verbal digs at them personally. If you choose the latter then you're not being a productive forum member.

And for the record there is a difference between good natured ribbing and deliberate malicious attacking. The latter would be crushed if this were my forum using methods learned from other forums and my own personal experience with our facebook groups.

Everyone needs to start blocking all trollers, send them to their crazy chair, the chair they sit in while looking at a screen all day hoping to piss in someones happy cup of morning coffee.

(I admit that I am no Tramp Steamer but it's my best impersonation, the guy is awesome, humorous and so far he has my vote for POST OF THE YEAR, a guy to never block.)

The trolls are DELUSIONAL, they can't piss in a good mans cup, block and they run peeing on themselves while looking for others to troll.

This method will drive AZ mods crazy because they will soon discover the fact that they will need to go to the IP Addresses and Servers to understand how many there are, most could care less.
