Pool Ball.PNGI bid on this pool ball thinking it might be ivory. I didn't get a chance to see it in person and only had the photo. Any experts out there that can tell if this is ivory or not? I figured it was either ivory or an onion cut in half (<---JK). Ill know for sure when it arrives but any input would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Rare dinosaur egg. Put it in the microwave until it hatches. Worth millions.

This looks like a job for The Onion Whisperer!

A couple of things you might not know already , or if you do , maybe someone else can benefit about ivory balls.
Don't hit it with another ball!
There's a good chance it will break. Maybe even disintegrate.
Also , if it has any cracks in it , roll it around in your hands a while for several days and the oils from your skin will help rejuvenate the ball and they will sometimes close up.
I had one ball that was separated almost an 1/8th of an inch, after a couple of weeks of handling the ball daily , you could still see and feel the cracks but the ball had pulled back together about 90% , I was really amazed.

Thank you everyone for all of the input. I will post better photos when this comes in later this week. There is also 1 other cue ball in the lot so best case scenario I will get 2 that are ivory.

Temperature all so effects the ivory cue balls in their roundness:grin:

The pool balls are in. I had my wife send a few photos to me because I'm still at work. The other "cue ball" turned out to be a 13 ball. If anyone is familiar with this style ball please let me know. Any information would be great. The smaller one is definitely ivory. Not bad for $40 delivered.
