I agree completely with this. I've been to Mike's shop and have seen his work first hand. You can't go wrong.

I figure you could get one done at The Rack in Livonia, MI.

Go to Ball and Cue in Lincoln Park and ask the regulars in there. There are a few that hang around there that do tips and repairs. Jim Protor does good work and reasonable.

On Monday night go to the Blue Diamond in Detroit, there is some action and the players there will give you some names.
