The first time I played this man was in 1990 and he played good then. He is out hustling everyday and walks everywhere, and has more moves than a switch board operator. He always gets a spot and he shakes pretty bad and not sure about his eyes. He is will liked by everyone and they call him pork chop. I really like that he is still going and having a good time every day! 12596128_934553193265934_1646343739_n.jpg

I love that pool room! Looks like an old mechanic garage converted. That's the pool I love. I appreciate the fancy, classy, yuppie rooms, but that place right there is where I'd be most comfortable. Looks busy in there, too.

84 n running out.

I play on a league n one of my teammates is
84 and he runs out like water out of the garden hose.
He's one of the top players in our league, he still
runs 50s&60s in straight pool . Also Dave Ross a
regular on the FL pool tour he is 83 (i think) . These
two gentlemen (i say that with absolute respect for them)
Are my inspiration to keep playing and can only hope to play
half of there ability, they are both champions in my book. :grin-square:

Jeez......I hope to just be above ground 17 years from now........being able to play pool would be a big plus.

Kudos to "Pork Chop". As a youngster of 72, I salute him.

Sgt. Don Malarkey of Easy Company fame would show up at The Cue Ball in Salem Oregon until his early 90's. I feel honored to have met the man.

Table

Look like the table mas a mismatched leg on the left hand foot side...:ignore::ignore:
That floor looks rock soild!

I'll be 89 in April and still play 5 days a week and teach on Saturdays. My warmup routine has changed in this respect, instead of 20 minutes of stroking balls, now it takes me 20 minutes to be able to bend low enough to start stroking. Just kidding. I still have a good stroke and fundamentals. The secret to playing as a super senior is exercise regularly, practice as often as possible and above all play with passion. I have the honor of being inducted into The New England Billiard Hall of Fame this March. What wonderful news it is for this old pool player. Pool is a fantastic game of art and science and above all the camaraderie associated with young and older players. And the best news of all, a study done in Copenhagen, Denmark claims that men who drink beer and play pool are healthier and live longer. So all you couch potatoes get out there and play pool. The pool tables are made here by a table company and they are commercial tables. This is a real hall with ceramic floor. More often than not I see chop eating crackers and drinking coffee.
