I'll be 89 in April and still play 5 days a week and teach on Saturdays. My warmup routine has changed in this respect, instead of 20 minutes of stroking balls, now it takes me 20 minutes to be able to bend low enough to start stroking. Just kidding. I still have a good stroke and fundamentals. The secret to playing as a super senior is exercise regularly, practice as often as possible and above all play with passion. I have the honor of being inducted into The New England Billiard Hall of Fame this March. What wonderful news it is for this old pool player. Pool is a fantastic game of art and science and above all the camaraderie associated with young and older players. And the best news of all, a study done in Copenhagen, Denmark claims that men who drink beer and play pool are healthier and live longer. So all you couch potatoes get out there and play pool.
