Naturally everyone likes to be liked, but if I really cared whether or not people like me on the internet, do you think I would be taking the position that I have regarding that inaccurate description?
If you want to be liked by all, then say nothing of any substance & 'everyone' will like you. There are very many here that are 'liked' by nearly everyone.
The numbers of those posts is in direct proportion to the time that I come on AZB & there is nothing substantive in the main, instructor, or aiming forum other than what color chalk do you use.
Hence I am bored & while waiting for something of interest to pop up, I will post there.
So... if there was more interesting, intelligent, & substantive discussion of interesting topics here... then there would be less posts there.
Does that satisfy your curiosity? I doubt it... as you just want to put your slant on matters & do not care about it being truthful or not.
I think Mike & Jerry should limit every member to just 3 posts per day & only allow 6 views & visitors only get 3 views.

Stan - I'm out of the CTE debate wars and only check in here on occasion. I have no problem with you doing whatever you want with your system, short of scamming people, which i don't think you do.
I know you probably don't care for my opinion, but looking at this pretty objectively, I think, what English said was not an attack on you. In fact, I think he was simply inquiring as to whether facebook might be a good venue for you to discuss CTE with people who like it. His comment came across to me like, "Why aren't these guys using facebook to discuss CTE in peace, or maybe they are already?"
I don't see the problem. In fact, why don't you use a facebook page for promoting your system? Dana S. set up a Play Great Pool facebook page for Mark Wilson, and he has over 1000 subscribers discussing PGP. It is moderated and off-topic posts are culled out. Sounds like a no-brainer to me.

Not speaking for Stan, nor am I a "proponent" per se (merely a proponent of civility), I believe the proper response would be something to effect of "why cant we discuss it in peace here?"
Because its obvious that there are more than a few who dont intend for that to happen. Seems silly to me.....dont like CTE, dont believe in it......dont go into a thread about it. Peaceful, huh?

This is an open forum where everybody is free to comment. When you say "in peace" I think you are really saying "without (constant) disagreement." If you want a place to discuss details of CTE without being interrupted by people who have disparate (and often not so subtle) opinions, then take the discussion somewhere that is moderated, like facebook. Why not do both? If, in fact, Stan is not already making use of facebook, then he may be missing out on a great way to get the word out.

It seems that you've joined the side that can't see the forest for the trees.
Once going in & seeing an inaccurate description that can entice many with that provocative inaccurate description that will always be controversial until it is corrected... if one cares about others at all, that inaccuracy should be pointed out.
Once that is done & the rational logical explanations have been given, for years by PJ, Jal, & others, why do you suppose that that inaccurate description has been clung to like The Goose That Laid The Golden Egg?
All that would need to be done to terminate all of the hub bub is to correct that description to an accurate one.
THEN everyone might be able to discuss the beneficial attributes like those that have been suggested by PJ...
calmly & civilly & peacefully without all of the personal attacks that are launched by the vocal CTEers.

Who in the hell is this "many" that you keep talking about? I haven't ever met a person in Hawaiian Brian's who ever heard the term CTE aiming.
It think this many may be in your head. If ANYONE is so damn stupid that they can't figure out if something works or doesn't work after a week or two, then they are too damn dumb to play pool anyway, IMHO.
99% of the people I talk to in the pool hall have never heard of AZB either and that includes people who are supposedly internet savvy.

You now seem to sound like Barton & are saying that AZB is insignificant.
I don't remember the exact number but I believe Barton said that there were multiple millions of hits on the you tube videos.
Maybe you should ask Mike how many visitors AZB gets per day.
My recent thread had over 600 views in about 18 hours.
One of the other threads had over 10,000 views in what I think was about 2 weeks.
I know that that counts many repeats by the active members here, but I would say that thousands could & should be considered as "rather many"...
but why should even ONE individual be mislead by an inaccurate description?

I hope you will allow & consider the following question of clarification.
By that, do you mean that I & others are prohibited from saying that something has not nor can not be provided by a certain specific individual or individuals or group of individuals for an obvious reason?
I do not see stating the truth of such as "baiting". But I'm not that savvy to some terms as they apply to forums.
Thanks in advance for any clarification to make matters more clear to me.

This forum is moderated. In theory, by "objective" 3rd parties, not by those whose Facebook posts are authored. Therefore, this "should" be a place for, dare I say it, "objective" discussion of pool related discussions.
Thing is, actively policing this schoolyard full of people who arent interested in maintaining a civil discussion is a time-consuming and thankless job, one I'm certain the mods here tire of.
It remains sad that this "open forum" cannot exist in a productive manner. Instead, we are left with this foolishness that doesn't ever advance the discussion, it merely delves into the gutter of foolish and petty bickering.

Dan White came on & he had a conversation with HAL long ago, but has never really been able to get it to work as it is supposed to work, objectively, & look what happened to him & he was just asking some questions to try to get some help to get past the stumbling point that has prevented him from getting it to work as it supposed to, which is objectively.
