I play with kamui hard brown and g2 hard. They are a really firm tip but spin the cue ball very well. Basically I feel when ur trying to hit more center ball and not use english. But accidentally put alittle spin on the ball with a off center hit. But it doesn't spin off line all crazy. But when u are trying to really put some stank on the cue ball. It gives u all the spin u want.
If I explained that rite. Lol. There both a great sounding tip too. It has that crisp tink sound. Nothing like it.

The best single layer tip I have found is a Water Buffalo Pro from Cue Components. It is harder than a Triangle and lasts a long time and holds chalk well. I shoot some pretty wild around the world power draw shots kind of like Earl Strickland and this tip has never failed me. I can get way down on the cue ball and I don't miscue.

Should you change your mind from non layered to layered get a hard Kamui brown all the way.
