Is there a clear winner in regard of tip used by top pro?

Or is it hard to tell because so many different kind are used by pros?

I've been using Kamui soft or super soft for as long as I can remember and I remember reading they tend to get harder over time.

the one I have right now will need to be changed soon. I was wondering what else I could try..

Tried Moori before and to be honest, I did not really feel the difference between moori medium and kamui medium. I then changed to Kamui soft and I'm not even sure I feel the difference!

Your thoughts are welcome! :)

What might be different from the many brand of layered tips all made of Pigskin?
I mean, it's the glue in between layers? The process?

And what would be the benefits of a single layer tip like the Ki-Tech?

You been playing Kamui....why not stay with it? Try the Kamui Clear Black in a soft rating......I switched all my cues to KCB soft tips.

What is your Fargo rating?

Do you like grooming your tip constantly?

Can you install it yourself?

Are you a slow player?

Do you own your own table or do you only play on other peoples?

Has your tip cost you any matches in the past?

What is your disposable income after taxes and living expenses?

These are all important questions that will affect the choice of best tip for you.

Without answers you cannot be helped here.

the Ki-Tech remains the same hardness from brand new to worn out. and requires very little if any scuffing.
the above is my experience only.
And i have used a half dozen or so.
The combination of the Ki-Tech and Russian magic chalk has meant almost no mis cues, and i spin the hell out of the cue ball.
The only problem is that the Russian chalk keeps trying to invade the table next to me.
I keep the chalk in its own box it came in to keep it from fighting with the Predator and Blue Diamond chalk in the pouch.

Interesting question, although I don't think you'll find a clear winner but
if the pro's were not sponsored by ?????? what brand would they most likely choose???? Maybe back to the...Old favorites, like LePro's or Elk Master?

Kamui
onxy
sniper
moori
ultra skin
and almost any soft layered tip will most likely work for you.

If you like the Kamui then I suggest you stick with them.
