I guess you really buy into the sales pitch in the description of this year's US Open 9ball event...."149 of the BEST PLAYERS IN THE WORLD"....right? Do you agree with that or not? Because the way I see it, there's about 129 players that stand no chance in hell of ever winning this event in 10 lifetimes, let alone this year's event.....so, why are they playing in it.....if not just for the chance of checking their game against MAYBE some of the best players in the world, IF they're luck enough to get that draw! Trick rules, trick racks, trick breaks would NEVER be needed if ALL the players were in fact.....the 149 best players in the world.....so, why does the 9 ball in this event have to be changed so much AWAY from what 9 ball is suppose to be played like?....if NOT to slow the REAL Professional players down from just blowing their way through the filler crowd of players. The REAL Pros don't need the gimmicky rules to play, the AMATEURS need the rules changed to have at least a fighting chance against the REAL Pros!
I remember back when I could beat both of them with my hands tied behind my back. I was around 40 and they were about 4 or 5. I could beat Earl when I was 13 and he was 3.
Joking aside, I don't think Corey takes it as "seriously" as SVB anymore. That is why SVB's break is hard to compete with now. He will spend hours practicing the break while the others are doing something "normal" and then they complain when he breaks better than they do.
Everybody wants to compete at the same level, but they don't want to put in the "work". Rather than put in the "work", they want to change the rules to take away the "worker's" advantage.
I'm done.
I mean, I can't. There is absolutely no getting through to you. Have fun posting more nonsense.
If people are dumb enough to agree with you, that's on them.
Have a nice night
Then in you OWN WORDS.....why don't you please EXPLAIN to everyone reading this....WHY the need to change the rules of playing 9 ball....were they changed to benefit the BEST players in this event? And people want to say this favors the weaker player?

Or.. and this is just crazy talk, maybe the rules are being changed to ensure the most complete player wins. For years 9 ball has been about who racks the best and who breaks the best. Now we have rules in place that takes that away, and instead makes it about who PLAYS the best. And people want to say this favors the weaker player?
Nonsense.

Because break and run-outs is too easy now.
Hey, Glen, CALL PAT FLEMING.
He'll tell you.
Your Diamond is a major sponsor.
I already did. Feel free to read the part in bold a few dozen times until it sinks in, and don't post again until it does.
You really don't get it do you....LOL....TOURNAMENT promoters are the ones that invited the use of racking AIDS....PROS exposed the flaws in racking the balls in a perfect rack everytime....by putting in the time to study the rack after the break to find the flaw....of making the one ball on the break every time therefore domination of tournaments started taking place creating even more separation between skill levels leaving the amateur players even less chance of pulling off some wins......so, rater than banning the use of racking aids....instead the promoters started messing with the rules of 9 ball to try and balance out the dead money players with the Pros, but when that hasn't even worked....then everyone started calling 9 ball a broken game....the PROS don't call it a broken Game, all those that can't win do. So, that started the push to play 10 ball....but SVB put in the time perfecting his break in 10 ball to become one of the most dominate players today....and again we start hearing....10 balls a broken game....by once again, the dead money players who don't want to put in the practice a lot of Pros do. Nope, everyone just wants to change the rules....to more rules, then when that don't work....they want to change the rules even more....until one day.....no one wants to play anymore!!!!
No, not on broke in cloth! When the cloth gets broke in it changes everything, the balls start sitting in little divits in the cloth, a few of the balls just won't stay frozen to the others....and the break becomes more luck rather than the 1 in the side on the break. The magic rack being used keeps the balls from sitting in those little divits, and keeps the balls frozen together....which give the breaker once again a predictable shot on the break. Why do you think almost everyone running tournaments today are using a rack AID? If you want to know what's wrong with 9 ball, just look at how much the rules have been changed, how much the cloth has changed, the pockets have changed.....all them changes are not always for the best.

The purpose was to eliminate 20 mins of racking time the only way to get a unpredictable rack is to let the magic rack stay intact breaker puts balls in an opponent can move 2 balls and the chips fall where they land period
1
Rack triangle, rack your own, 20 seconds to rack and except it, or except forfeiting 1 loss of game to get an additional 20 seconds to rack and accept it as is.....not complicated!!!
Yeah, right. Then you're gonna have tilted racks all the time.
I still like my idea of having a randomizer app that will tell you which balls go where each rack, use the Sardo rack, and no touching of balls once inside the Sardo. Could be rack your own or opponent racks. Player gets one challenge and ref is called over, if rack is found to be OK then a penalty of some sort to whomever challenged it.
