lets talk about banned azers.

better to use banished:

ban·ish
ˈbaniSH/Submit
verb
past tense: banished; past participle: banished
send (someone) away from a country or place as an official punishment.
"they were banished to Siberia for political crimes"
synonyms: exile, expel, deport, eject, expatriate,
ostricheyed, extradite, repatriate, transport; More
forbid, abolish, or get rid of (something unwanted).
"it's perfectly feasible to banish the smoke without banning smoking"
synonyms: dispel, dismiss, disperse, scatter, dissipate, drive away, chase away, shut out, quell, allay

Okay, I'll go for banished, Brian......although I think abolished would be cool.

I certainly don't wanna be ostrich-eyed.....

In a country built on tolerance....nah ......I'm not getting in a pissing match with asses like you asiasdad. There, I just said it .....you're an ass. Don't even bother to reply because you're now on my ignore list! Mitch

Two of the members no longer allowed to post that are brilliant writers, IMO....
...Thomas Wayne and Patrick Johnson....
...from their point of view, they don't suffer fools gladly....
From my point of view, they are great posters who can be sharked easily.....

I would love to see them both back....just tone it down a bit...
...and keep a sense of humor.

I've learned from both of them.

I must agree with you there.

Is your butt hurt ?????????

I'm getting rep for it.

Here's a couple of rep comments:

You freaking rock!!! Your avatar is the shit!!! Good luck on your future endeavors sir. I hope you get 1000 cues this year.

Getting banned is like driving drunk.

You should have been arrested 100 or more times before you get caught so you really can't complain about it much.

I was banned once for not even close to the worst thing I said here.

Oh ... this thread got some traction eh? An online persona is not always Indicative of who a person is or what their personality really is. Some folks can be the nicest people in real life .. but enjoy being a jerk online. Go figure.

I agree 100% I'm an a$$ sometimes on here, but I would bet a dollar to a doughnut that we would get along fantastic on the outside. Sometimes the written word just doesn't come across correctly, and sometimes it does.......I don't judge anybody by their posting on AZ. I might agree 1,000 times with somebody and their next post I disagree with. I will be honest EVERY SINGLE TIME!

We all wake up on the wrong side of the bed sometimes too and fire something off that could be nuclear. Its times like that, when you're glad they just delete it and say nothing. It's like whoo hoo they let that one go! Then you get back to your usual self. I disagree with a few on here 100% but on the phone we get along great.

I'm still confused about the term "banned"...
...you can "ban" actions....ad hominem for example...
...you can "bar" people...

So shouldn't the posters in AZ jail be considered "barred"?

To add to the confusion.....
..this is a "band"...

And this is a "Bard"

and this is a barred owl (with a crayfish) :)

Asiasdad just got the ban hammer. And Real King Cobra again.

You are so right but it's not just a bad day for some. Here's an analogy. In the U.S. stock and options market, there is an index called the VIX, Volatility Index. It measures the volatility of options being traded. The higher the VIX, the higher the anticipated volatility (since it's a futures market). For example, the chart below shows the stress leading up to Brexit in June, which hammered the market. It also shows the stress leading up to the election (calming down once traders realized they had a pro-business government in place).

The American Citizen VIX is off the charts right now. http://www.npr.org/sections/health-shots/2017/02/15/515366975/feeling-way-more-stressed-out-youre-not-alone I believe we are a very divided country at this point. There are a lot of people on both sides who are really stressed out from the election showing extreme levels of anxiety. There is a lot of hate going around and many people are not OK. My own family hasn't heard from my sister since the election, we think it's because she took it so hard.

To combat this, we need to sit back and assess who we are and what's really important to us. Are these people fighting on television like children really important to our lives? Hit the damn off button!

Our real lives should be full of people we like and love. Those relationships are what makes life enjoyable and meaningful.

Hit the damn off button!
