Scott's tip popped off today after being replaced last night. Rousing endorsement for that installer.

What a hack, a guy is playing for 200k and the installer won't crack open a fresh bottle of glue.

Well, all I can say is that Mr. Frost should not have banged his cue shaft into the rail of the table yesterday in a mini-fit of anger. So everything that is happening to him with his shaft/tip is entirely his own fault.

I completely agree, Scott threw a tantrum and reaped what he sowed. However, whomever the installer is won't be getting repeat business from Scott, ahaha.

But who doesn't have a ready-to-go backup shaft? Seems odd to me, especially when playing a match for 200k. Hell, I always have an extra shaft with new tip ready to go.

Your AZ moniker would be a great name for tip glue....
....I'll take three bottles, please.

He did, but his confidence was totally with his main shaft, so he got it retipped. Then, the tip popped off during warm-up.

A good way to highlight the problems of being a repair guy. You get blamed for everything and people never admit they abuse their equipment.
My tip popped off, you owe me a new one.
The buttcap you fixed broke etc...

Well, it got installed and popped off during warm-up, on tape! That's totally on the glue from the installation

Tip falling off

An experienced installer can manage, back to my rousing endorsement comment.

I would think the very worst time to get a tip installed is right before a big money game or tournament .

Kind a like the first one without sin throw the first stone.
I wish I could honestly say I have never had a tip fall off .
I bet OB and predator and everyone in the cue business wish they could say they have never had a tip fall off .......

How do you know that it was the tip installer's fault, if you weren't there during the entire process?

And, do you have the knowledge?

Refer to your never-ending notes. They stand true.

All the best,
WW

I agree that it is rookie stuff, to not have a second/ equally useable shaft. Sheeeeeeat, i brig 2 equals and a slighly different one, at least.

Same here, and I shoot equally sh*tty with all of them.

But, I've never been angry or dumb enough to strike a rail with the shaft of my cue hard enough to knock a tip off (or worst, ding the shaft).

I saw a lot of rookie stuff, and some questionable sportsmanship stuff coming from SF in the many hours I spent watching that match over the last 4 days.

By the middle of the match I was pulling for DO to beat him handily, which he did.

I have smashed a cue or 2 in my day.
Sometimes, the cue must pay.
