Houle' Shish Kebob, Visual Version

Because it has limited aiming points I assumed it must have gaps. If not, then I'll stop aiming at the contact point and just aim at the reference points. :)

I would easily prefer it over CPs. S/Bob is a very strong visual system.

Thanks for putting in the time to do the you tubes. It was very good. Put me on the positive side.
Looking forward to #2. The sooner the better.
Always looking for more info.

........Stan, I know I sound like an old woman lecturing but please....IGNORE THESE HATERS. They're losers and want to bait you into getting banned. That would be terrible from an educational standpoint. Let them just go and use their "feelings" and their "mosconi schemes" and ignore them. You're too valuable to the pool players who like learning something that is FOR REAL.
Keep on truckin'

FYI, this is a prime example of baiting. It's been a good productive and positive thread. No need to stir the pot in a GoldenFlash manner.

Part 2

I'd heard Shish Kebob referred to in the past, & wondered what it involved.
Looking forward to your part 2 video to flesh it out a bit more.

Thanks for your contributions to the pool community.

Thanks for the video Stan. It's interesting to see how you're using a visual offset instead of the shaft edges as Spider is presenting it in his thread. I was going to ask Dave eventually if the system he was showing was a version of Hal's S/bob. Looks like it may be very similar. I've been playing around with it for a few practice sessions and it works pretty well.

One advantage I see with Dave's system is that it's possible to align a shot so that you can be on the shot line with center ball or outside spin. He shows two methods of alignments that produce the same shot angle. Is it possible to do the same thing by the use of visual alignments or 'nose tweaking'?

Yes, you can be on the shotline with CCB and for some outside spin alignments. It just depends on the outside spin amount. The nose tweak would come into play exactly like the same as I presented for the quarters in the other video. In part 2 I will spin and how to to adjust for extremely thin cuts.

Looking forward to Part 2! That was excellent, Stan.
You do a great service to Hal's legacy.

I plan on buying and trying the new DVD but this has always been my fall back system.

Thx!

The online video update 'tell all" for CTE is free to all. I will release my CTE book at about the same time. Part 2 of the S-Bob will be put up st about the same time.

Sometimes I don't know that you realize that there is a silent majority out here that loves what you're doing so I would be remiss if I didn't come right out and say that I truly appreciate what you're doing and carrying on with Hal's legacy. He was a great man and a great friend. I don't think he could have hand picked a better ambassador to carry on his work.

I'm sorry, but having followed this discussion for over 20 years I have to say that I personally have seen no evidence of a "silent majority." Yes, some hardcore followers, but if you were to go back to some of the old threads before this backwater of a forum was created, there were scads of non-believers and even the guys who created the HAMB videos. Now that this aiming stuff has been sent out to the AZ closet, few of the general populace bother.

A silent majority -- no way. That is not a slam, just my honest take.

Thanks, Koop and Hogie583,

I'm just getting good and started. I know there's a ton of support out there and I appreciate the fire out of it.

I would bet a "silent majority" would wish you were "silent". That is not a slam, just my honest take. I've seen in several cases, it wasn't just my take, it was the forum administrator's also, because you have been banned from some places periodically and forever in at least one..

I have followed these discussions "silently" for years and years and I have personally seen you disrupt more threads and cause more havoc than just about anybody on the forums. There are about 5 or 6 others that are in the same category and we all know who they are.

It's too bad the forum administrators haven't "silenced" people for some of the shit that is going on in the threads now.

I've reported that post to the moderators, we'll see how they respond.

One thing is sure as hell - that post in no way contributes to the aiming conversation, au contraire.

The truth is the truth.

One of the reasons this forum was created was because the majority was tired of all the aiming discussions. There was no majority enamoured of the topic of aiming much less any one particular system. And that’s one reason guys came up with stuff like the PIITH “system.” It was blowback from the *majority.*

NOPE! This forum was created because the majority as well as the moderators were tired of all the AIMING FLAME WARS which YOU, PAT JOHNSON, and your loyal sycophants instigated each and every time.

The numbers have dwindled but you are still the main negative instigator in the aiming forum now, in the past since it was created, and in the future. That is UNLESS admin forbids you from posting in the aiming forum completely. Go anywhere else you want, but you need to be kept OUT OF HERE.

There will be a lot more peace and quiet as long as a couple of others stay out or are kicked out also.

Lou -
I have been very civil to you since we met in NJ but you should not consider that an open invitation to piggy back my posts to continue your shit with Stan. Hal was a friend to me which in turn makes me consider Stan a friend. You are someone I spent 10 minutes with talking but in no way do I consider us friends and in no way am I going to allow you to use a post of mine to continue with your petty beef with Stan.
I have to ask. Why do you even look at these threads? They obviously don't interest you and you have zero interest in really trying to learn the system so, other than stirring up shit, what's your purpose? Serious question because I can't for the life of me figure out why you bother other than to try and humiliate Stan and what, make you look smarter? I can tell that for me it has the opposite effect. You don't come across as smarter, you come across as petty and someone who will dig their heels for the sake of digging their heels in.
Like I said, I have remained civil to this point and will continue but not if you feel like you can just continue with this line of crap and especially don't feel like you can use a post of mine to somehow bolster your argument.

Fair enough?
