Because it has limited aiming points I assumed it must have gaps. If not, then I'll stop aiming at the contact point and just aim at the reference points.![]()
I would easily prefer it over CPs. S/Bob is a very strong visual system.

........Stan, I know I sound like an old woman lecturing but please....IGNORE THESE HATERS. They're losers and want to bait you into getting banned. That would be terrible from an educational standpoint. Let them just go and use their "feelings" and their "mosconi schemes" and ignore them. You're too valuable to the pool players who like learning something that is FOR REAL.
Keep on truckin'

Thanks for the video Stan. It's interesting to see how you're using a visual offset instead of the shaft edges as Spider is presenting it in his thread. I was going to ask Dave eventually if the system he was showing was a version of Hal's S/bob. Looks like it may be very similar. I've been playing around with it for a few practice sessions and it works pretty well.
One advantage I see with Dave's system is that it's possible to align a shot so that you can be on the shot line with center ball or outside spin. He shows two methods of alignments that produce the same shot angle. Is it possible to do the same thing by the use of visual alignments or 'nose tweaking'?![]()
I'd heard Shish Kebob referred to in the past, & wondered what it involved.
Looking forward to your part 2 video to flesh it out a bit more.
Thanks for your contributions to the pool community.
.
Looking forward to Part 2! That was excellent, Stan.
You do a great service to Hal's legacy.
I plan on buying and trying the new DVD but this has always been my fall back system.
Stan -
Sometimes I don't know that you realize that there is a silent majority out here that loves what you're doing so I would be remiss if I didn't come right out and say that I truly appreciate what you're doing and carrying on with Hal's legacy. He was a great man and a great friend. I don't think he could have hand picked a better ambassador to carry on his work.
Yours Truly,
Koop

I'm sorry, but having followed this discussion for over 20 years I have to say that I personally have seen no evidence of a "silent majority." Yes, some hardcore followers, but if you were to go back to some of the old threads before this backwater of a forum was created, there were scads of non-believers and even the guys who created the HAMB videos. Now that this aiming stuff has been sent out to the AZ closet, few of the general populace bother.
A silent majority -- no way. That is not a slam, just my honest take.

I would bet a "silent majority" would wish you were "silent". That is not a slam, just my honest take. I've seen in several cases, it wasn't just my take, it was the forum administrator's also, because you have been banned from some places periodically and forever in at least one..
I have followed these discussions "silently" for years and years and I have personally seen you disrupt more threads and cause more havoc than just about anybody on the forums. There are about 5 or 6 others that are in the same category and we all know who they are.
It's too bad the forum administrators haven't "silenced" people for some of the shit that is going on in the threads now.
I've reported that post to the moderators, we'll see how they respond.
One thing is sure as hell - that post in no way contributes to the aiming conversation, au contraire.
The truth is the truth.
One of the reasons this forum was created was because the majority was tired of all the aiming discussions.
