What do you think my Southwest is worth?

I would say getting 3K would not be a problem at all, letter or no letter. Cue looks great! I know that it has been stated on here many times that they keep excellent records. I can only say in my case, I have a 1987 and mailed to S.W. She simply took the info that I gave her and put down on the letter. I then found the history of cue to be different. The LOA is just a generic form that states woods used and approx. date. If you know it is a S.W. then do you really need this? I think the LOA was 50$ + shipping and insurance both ways. So you might invest 100 bucks for a form to just file in a drawer? But to each his own.

A predate is infinitely easier to sell with the letter.

I don't think he said anything about selling it. He also aready stated that he has 2 shafts.

For example, I think your cue listed on eBay with the letter would easily bring $200-$500 more than if it were listed without the letter.

It's more for security than documentation. People don't want to get burned.

The LOA on a pre-date is a "must" if you want to sell for top dollar. It simple proves that the buyer is receiving a genuine SW cue. There have been a TON of good quality SW cues around over the years. Also, sometimes folks think they have an early SW when they actually have an early Kersenbrock. The letter from Laurie would authenticate that, if it were to be the case, also.

Well, I finally decided to get an Letter of Authenticity from Lauri Franklin. I know this cue is one of the prettiest South West's out there and I have seen some spectacular prices on them. I know this cue is right up there with them. So, I am accepting offers again.

For Sale/ Wanted section is two doors down the hall. Nice cue though.
Yikes, I am in the wrong forum. I posted this thread a long time ago and I thought I would just refresh it. Thanks for catching this for me. I will repost in the classifieds. Thanks again.

If you actually get the authenticity letter from lauri
and a new shaft

i would think $4000 would be possible

something about the cue looks unique to me

it is a nice cue
