I have a social theory you can tell the wealth and education level of a neighborhood and clientele by how the parking lots of the stores look like and placement of unwanted merchandise. In a WalMart a town from me you see people leaving meat out on a random shelf, carts all over the place, people stopping in the road to wait for people. You can map the bad neighborhoods and decline of politeness and respect by where the WalMarts are and how they look.
Good post. Although I might not go with "wealth and education", but rather "amount of laziness and lack of respect for others" In general, our populace has become more and more lazy and disrespectful year after year since probably the '70s.
I find that lack of respect is a lot more prevalent in areas of less wealth and education, just see the areas where people like to burn cars and smash windows. It's not "nice" to point that out, but truth is truth no matter how much people try to hide their heads in the sand.
And don't expect a door to be held for you in that neighborhood either
I live in a weird place...one where someone will hold the door for you, but 2 min earlier, they would have killed you in a fit of road rage in the parking lot.

South Carolina might consider a mascot change!
Knuckledragger that made that fits right in. Cannot spell simple words, but rags everybody else.
