Congrats to Corey Deuel

What a fantastic One Pocket match both players played great.

Corey ended up winning 30-28 after a great comeback from Danny on day three.

Thanks to everybody that tuned in

Ray's packing up all the equipment and driving 1300 miles to the next event

PoolActionTV will be in Amarillo TX this Saturday at Slim's Pool Palace for a $7000 added 9-Ball event.

Wow. Sounds pretty intense.

Surprised to not see any 'guess what he did from here' posts though. Did they come with any mind benders?

Naw...not those guys

Great match-I think Corey called 3 fouls on himself that no one appeared to see including me. He also seemed to get mad 2x and just blasted the balls selling out both times I believe.

Also-Very nice to see a codger friendly 4PM EDT start!

There was some excellent play on both sides.... A little disappointed in the amount of whining from Both Players. But all in all. They made for some excellent playing and I was truly surprised.

Shout out to poolactiontv too. Ray does great commentary.

Thanks for all the updates. One day the internet will make it out here to BFE and I'll be able to stream some of this.

Buddy of mine oversees about 100 crews that are currently coating the country with hi-speed wiring.

They have NO GOT-DAMN PLANS TO GO ANYWHERE NEAR AANY DAM PART OF EGYPT!!!!

dammit!
:D

They both have it...for the record I like that Corey has those moments where he completely punts on a game versus fighting it out for an hour. He finds a spot and takes a risk and if it works he wins, if not he loses but saves himself. Danny is tough for hanging in there, it's hard to play from behind for the better part of 28 hours of table time.

Corey came up with some very innovative shots.

On day 3, He seemed to be wearing down faster then Danny.

Unfortunately, at age 73, I wore out faster than either of them and quit watching them before the 28-28 tie. I think it was reported that the match lasted until about 2:30 a.m.

My sincere congratulations to Corey and Danny for providing a great match. Kudos also to the sponsors of the match and to Ray and Jeremy for their commentating.

In the us open vids he commented with cardone, bill says precisely that: often, when you are down and the score is a lot for the other guy and near none for you...and the balls are in poor position with little chance of recovery...save your fight for a better opportunity.

I was dozing by about 10, myself!

I personally feel like that's how Corey won overall. He won some close games but there were also some games you could see the buildup to the risky shot. I thought it was a cool set overall.

I went to sleep at 28-28.....wish I had stayed up.
I bet on Corey....so a win is kinda nice.
...but I really liked Danny Smith’s grit...I’ll be keeping an eye on him.

Was the codger still awake at 2:30 am for the finish?

Nope - I was out some where near 10:30 but still appreciate the early start and the chance to watch six plus hours per day for a change. I did make it all the way through the quick day one though.

Even a night start Central Time match is not doable for me so I was very happy to have this one.
