Thanks for all the updates. One day the internet will make it out here to BFE and I'll be able to stream some of this.
Wow. Sounds pretty intense.
Surprised to not see any 'guess what he did from here' posts though. Did they come with any mind benders?
Naw...not those guys![]()
They both have it...for the record I like that Corey has those moments where he completely punts on a game versus fighting it out for an hour. He finds a spot and takes a risk and if it works he wins, if not he loses but saves himself. Danny is tough for hanging in there, it's hard to play from behind for the better part of 28 hours of table time.
Corey came up with some very innovative shots.
On day 3, He seemed to be wearing down faster then Danny.
Unfortunately, at age 73, I wore out faster than either of them and quit watching them before the 28-28 tie. I think it was reported that the match lasted until about 2:30 a.m.
My sincere congratulations to Corey and Danny for providing a great match. Kudos also to the sponsors of the match and to Ray and Jeremy for their commentating.
In the us open vids he commented with cardone, bill says precisely that: often, when you are down and the score is a lot for the other guy and near none for you...and the balls are in poor position with little chance of recovery...save your fight for a better opportunity.
... Also-Very nice to see a codger friendly 4PM EDT start!
It was a very exciting last few games in a very close match. Was the codger still awake at 2:30 am for the finish?
... Ray is going to try and do a replay of day three sometime this week for you guys.![]()
