A person would have to be crazy to spend that much $$$ on a Cuetec. Pretty much certifiable.

Explain why this is so.

Because they aren't worth it.
I was actually thinking of buying a back-up Revo shaft. But if the price of the Cuetech shaft is around $350, I would probably buy one of those to use as a back-up. Now if the Cuetech shaft turns out to cost $450, I will probably just buy another Revo for $500.If the street price is 80% of MSRP like their other products seem to be, that would bring the price to $360. AND, if a consumer can actually order one and have it within a few days, I see Cuetech eating Predator for lunch.

Some guy who plays pool from South Dakota would probably put up a pretty good argument proving otherwise.
If the final product turns out to be as good as the Revo (which I have no doubt it will), is $100 cheaper, and comes in multiple joints, then why wouldn't it be just as good, if not better, than a Revo?
Sometimes a brand that starts out slow catches up to its competitors and eventually makes products that are as good as, sometimes better, than those that were once hailed as the best. Why couldn't this be true with the new Cuetec CF shafts/cues? Only time will tell. Besides, it's completely new technology at play here. Cuetec could actually be onto something that Predator has not yet discovered. It's possible.

Almost all the Revo-pros are in same category. They get free s^*t and $$ to pimp whatever they're given. That guy in South Dakota is a paid represenitive so yeah who cares... not saying it’s not worth the price. That’s subjective... just his opinion is swayed by a pay check he gets from them lol

My comment you quoted was a response to DrCue'sProtege assertation that Cuetec puts out junk, which IMO, SVB has proven his claim to be false.
It makes no difference whether or not he's getting paid to use Cuetec because 1.) he's got enough money that he doesn't need their sponsorship, and 2.) it just so happens he's playing as good with the CF Cuetec as he's ever played in his life.
So, sponsorship or not, do you think he's going to use that CF shaft he uses if he thought it was junk? I doubt it very seriously. Obviously the shaft is good enough to win many tournaments with since he started using it. If it was inadequate for use, sponsorship or not we wouldn't be seeing him using it.

New stuff is always presented as being better. I have three Diveney playing shafts and one Diveney breaking shaft for the three Diveney cue butts I own. I doubt I will ever wear any of them out.
Three of them are his Lake Salvage shafts and one player is his fairly new Kiel wood LD shaft. Would I be any better if I had a carbon fiber shaft, heck no. But, they might help some one else's game if they believe they will help.
I own some guns and hunting and shooting are another of my hobby/passions. My favorite 30-06 was made in 1958 and my .338 Win. Mag. was made in the early 80's.
None of the newer rifles or calibers made since them will make me a better shooter or hunter and I doubt I will ever shoot the barrel out on either one or wear one out. But, that won't stop me from wanting another shooting toy.
Alaska is full of good fishing and my tackle box's are full of stuff to catch the fish. But, I could easily catch all the Alaskan species with a half dozen different styles, especially if I compliment them with salmon eggs and herring.
Much of the new designs on about every thing are designed to "catch" the buyer. Not because they are more better. I am to cheap to spend money on a carbon fiber shaft. But, I would like to use one for awhile.
I bet if you were shooting long distance at small targets you would welcome a newer gun and hand picked bullets and loads.
Players that are used to non-LD shafts and are happy with their game are not the market for Revo and other LD shafts.
Yea, or spend money on a table when they already have a good one. Crazy...
There is are also the $30,000-50,000 Kias and Huyandais out now which is about as crazy sounding as a $500+ Cuetec. I mean who markets a Kia for $45,000 with a turbo V6 and Brembo brakes?
