I like the chances of the European men with Frederic Caudron, Joshua Filler and Kyren Wilson.
Sounds fun. I wonder how they will keep score. And if ties are possible, how they will be broken.

Pedro Pierabuena is US best 3c player and has played at the World Champ. before. As for snooker i have no clue who best here is. Whoever it is they have NO chance of beating a top Euro snooker player.

Well the only "country" represented is actually France, the host country and the host of the next Olympics.
This seems a great step to work out logistics and show the Olympic powers that be what an actual Olympic competition from actual cue sports disciplines and actual nations could look like at some future date.

The best US carom player is Pedro Piedrabuena who is capable of beating any player in a single short match. I think he can average 1.4 for a tournament if he's playing well. He is originally from Uruguay but is now a US citizen and has a room in San Diego (College Billiards). He is currently ranked 39th in the world.
For snooker the pickings are slimmer. There is no US player that I know of who could qualify for the pro tour. Corey Deuel has tried a couple of times. I think there has never been a century in the US championships. The best player in the Americas is Figueiredo from Brazil who played on the pro snooker tour for a couple of years. He won the recent PanAmerican championships that were held in Houston. I'm told that the only question there was who would finish in second place.
Does anyone have a score update? Day 1 should be done as France is 6 or so hrs ahead of USA eastern time.
