Mosconi Cup 2019 Day 3

Are you serious? That was a duck out until Billy T. drew above the side pocket for no other reason than nerves. It's funny how so many on this thread criticize Filler but no one says anything about Billy T. who has been just as bad if not worse. At least Filler backs his shit up, Billy T. has been by far the weakest player on the USA side.

Well, I'm calling it as I see it, and won't change my view here, but this is a matter of opinion and I respect yours. Guess it's in the eye of the beholder.

Yeah, I wish someone would point out that Billy coming above the side pocket with the cueball was a mistake.

I thought the mistake in that rack was Billy bringing the cueball past the other side of the side pocket going from the 4 to the 5.

USA was up 8-5.

Then..
Filler beat Shane 5-0.
Berg/Thorpe up 4-2? Then lost to Shaw/Niels

Day 3 ended 8-7.

That first match is just too huge tomorrow for both teams, but especially for team Europe. I don’t think either team can afford to put up one of their weaker performing players thus far in that first match. I think you’ll likely see both teams placing their strongest players in the first match and in the fifth match. I’d say let Woodward lead off as he did last year.

Billy left Justin a tough shot on the 5, and didn't have to. There's no need to bring the cueball above the side pocket going from the 4 to the 5 there, and doing so makes the margin for error with a good angle on the 5 much less.

Justin had to use the bridge, and had to go back and forth across the table for shape on the 6. That made pocketing the ball and the speed much more difficult than it should have been (even dead straight on the 5 would have been fine there).

We have to assume Marcus is leading off with Filler and Shaw....
Whatever Johan does, don't lead off with Shane, let Shane come in at 3 or 4 and hopefully match up with Kazakis again for a repeat of last year.

Lead off with Skyler and then Bergman

It is customary for the coach of the team trailing to lead off with his best in Session 4, so you may well be right. Johan will likely anticipate this and act as he sees fit. Agreed that it's time to give SVB an easier assignment than Filler.

There is no way the US can lose 4 out of the 5 matches tomorrow.
Or can they ?

Filler is a BEAST, count that as 1. They ain't out of the woods that is for sure!!!

Has been 3 days of AWESOME POOL!!

No matter what happens tomorrow, I am sure it will be another great display of talent!

A hill-hill final match would be awesome.:D
10-10 then one for the glory.

last year Skyler and Albin played a other match for the most part. Of Skyler or anyone plays at that level tomorrow, it doesn't matter if it's Filler or the ghost, they're going to lose that one. Tomorrow should be great and everyone is beatable, even the little fem.

How are you guys watching this? I’ve been busy working during the first 3 days but I can watch tomorrow. Is there a particular stream people are using?

I wonder if it would have been a duck if you were up there under that pressure me world champion lol
