So, how much did he lose ?

See, that's the problem when you "hear" things. The accuser had no physical marks on him despite claiming to have been headbutted. He refused a medical examination. The witnesses stated that they saw no physical altercation. The witness who was two feet away stated that there was no physical altercation. No charges were pressed and the police never even came to see me. I went to the police station unbidden and filed my report and when the detective called me about a month later she was dismissive of the accuser's "story" and simply asked me to tell my side which I did and that was the end of it.

Eric threatened me, not the other way around. I never once threatened him with any sort of physical violence. He, however flat out lied claiming I called him a chink and then said his wife asked him what that meant. In my opinion that's likely to be two lies, one I know for sure because I never would use that word against someone and the other because even though I doubt very much that an adult married to an asian man didn't know that chink is a slur used against asians I am positive she wouldn't have asked about it because it wasn't said by me in the first place. And in that instance there were two witnesses to the whole scene. They were there because I told them I was going to call Eric out in person to play a money match and I did. That's when he threatened to beat me up in the parking lot. That was only one of the times he threatened me.

So that's the ACTUAL record of events. Thanks for asking.

Well, I don’t know about the first instance but I was an eye witness, along with others, who saw you pick up two pool balls when you incited Eric at Sandcastle, so I’ll have to call BS on that one.

I could see it a mile away, it's like you are more than salting the wounds, your injecting drug fast strains of bacteria into the site of the trauma.

This is not very conducive in setting up a rematch much less getting anybody to play you.

Even a surgeon has to have some bedside manner. Christ, how unprofessional of you.

You are exhibiting too much pride.

He might be attempting to but those wounds are long healed. While I would have liked to play better and win the fact is that I didn't and I am clear that I failed to prepare correctly and went in with too much hubris and pride. In the interim I have had an amazing 7 years and I the marketing that was generated from like 6 months of non-stop woofing catapulted my brand more than I could have done on my own. My only regret is that I was a very poor example of a player using CTE. I will never forgive myself for not bucking down and getting my stroke and form under control. I had no real plan and it showed. I did have lots of help and advice from many people who wanted to see Lou go down. I didn't even really know how disliked he was until I started traveling and meeting people who told me their "Lou" stories. I also was sent plenty of them unsolicited. The guy was seriously disliked in a couple hundred mile radius around him.

In any event I made the choice a few years ago that I was done with him. I told him that he could come to Oklahoma City and play me 10 ahead for $20,000. He declined and chose instead to continue to denigrate and insult and milk the previous victory. So, whatever the reason claimed the bottom line is that he didn't accept the offer to play.

Sorry to disappoint everyone reading this who might be thinking that this is all just woofing towards a rematch. There will not be one without some extremely unrealistic conditions happening to entice me to spend another minute in his presence.

Maybe someday we will end up as opponents in a one pocket US open or at Derby. If that happens all the action junkies can bet whichever way they want to. I won't be betting a nickle because Lou will never earn a penny of my money through playing me ever again. I would rather go back to Vegas and play Austin Hill again and give him the rainbow and the breaks and never even put my cue together for all the money and property I have than to give Lou a chance at one penny of mine.

First off, you knew my traveling to you to play you on your home track, after I flew to NJ, was out of the question.

Second, 10 ahead 1pocket, after we ended 9-6, or me three ahead after two days, was a stupid proposition from the start. All of that was just to salve your bruised ego, nothing more. You never wanted to play again or you wouldn’t have demanded such blatantly stupid conditions.

I picked up a ball in anticipation of defending myself against his threat. Eric had often bragged about how tough he is and talked a lot about his guns. I was scared of him. As for instigated, I asked him if he wanted to play a set for a $1000 and he replied that he was there to see an old fashioned goat raping. I wasn't sure that was ever a spectator sport and certainly wondered about the sort of person who was into watching it but I did take his threat seriously. He had previously challenged me to play for a $1000 and he didn't show up when we had agreed to play. So I simply asked him to play and it escalated from there. Now I will admit that I shouldn't have even talked to him considering that I was already dealing with other asshats but I am not known for making the best rational choices.

Anyway it was resolved when he was asked to leave and the threat was removed. Sorry, if you mess with the star performer before the show you don't get to watch the performance in person.

Baloney.

Eric was minding his own business when you started woofing at him and you would not shut up. He told you to let him be but you were incessant. Personally, I think you wanted a fight so you could claim injury and get out of our match. If others hadn’t intervened you would have gotten seriously injured. Lastly, Eric got ejected later on not because of that but because you objected to him sitting ringside videoing the match.

Ok. If that makes you feel good then stick with it. You also said at one point that you were winning too easily and that your backer Mike told you to slow down. Which made zero sense because you would think that the goal would be to win 9-0 if possible and make the loss as humiliating as possible.

I wanted to play an ahead set from the beginning. You also agreed to either an ahead set or a race. Upon consulting a friend I agreed to play a race in New Jersey. For the rematch I wanted an ahead set. You declined. Give whatever reason you want, and you're STILL insinuating that you have the dead nuts, but the fact remains that you declined. Even when you had, as you "claim", backers fighting to back the whole amount. So, sorry, you need to work on this "story" a little bit more.

But, really, thank you for declining. I probably would not have won. I probably would have let ego and pride lead and not really trained and not been ready again. So in a sense you saved me 20k. Thanks for that.

Mike never gave me instructions like that and I certainly never said that.

The only instruction Mike gave me was when I muffed a third shot shooting left handed and he quietly called me over to the rail and asked, “Please don’t shoot any more shots left handed.”

I told the owner I objected to him being there because of what he did. Again I didn't threaten Eric. He threatened me. If I wanted to fight him to get out of the match then I would have fought him. I did not need or want to get out of the match. Why would I? I paid for the show and I like being the center of attention. No one who knows me would ever disagree with that.

As for saying I would have gotten seriously injured, maybe I would have but Eric double dog dared me to say another word and I immediately laughed and said "double dog dare what are we in first grade?" He had every opportunity to seriously injure me and didn't so I doubt he would have done anything inside the building with witnesses to get himself another assault charge.

Lou, you're slipping. Stop being boring and come up with better embellishments. We miss the old Lou who told us about his pool exploits in wonderful unverifiable prose. You need to stay with stuff where no one here was present. Let us enjoy the scenes you paint without a shared experience that contrasts your version.

I know it's difficult to keep up with all the ways you have tried to insult me and insinuate that you had the nuts. Understandable when your stories have so many versions.

In any event, I will continue to thank you for continuing the conversation and thus giving my brand more exposure. Thank you. 16,000 views so far. Without you this would have been done already.

John,

Just wondering what the cost and delivery time is for this Mars envelope. I would want similar tooling and my last name added on the lid. Please PM me.

I just scrolled through 150+ posts waiting for a response to this :

John, I wrote you yesterday on FB - per your request. You seemed sincere enough about wanting to make things write and posted about it several times. You've yet to read it, but you've had time to argue with Lou. As usual, your priorities remain out of wack. Don't bother writing back - I'll pass on the case. Best of luck.

Still nothing yet.

Sad story indeed. Gambling, to some, is a disease, but to me it's just a budget line item. I know going into every calendar year what my budget is for gambling. If I should happen to exhaust it by July, then I don't gamble again until the next January.

To all who choose to gamble, even heavily, make sure gambling is a line item on your annual budget, so that you always know in advance what your maximum action can be and so you have a built in stopping point.

Good luck to John in rebounding from this setback. I see no reason for any of us (other than those who are now owed money by him) to pass judgement here, or worse, delight in his hardship.

I agree! Well said Stu! I don't always agree with John, but I think he will do what duty dictates. I too hope this setback is something he comes out of ok, and he also learns something valuable about himself.

You missed one.

I said I wasn’t going to post about it anymore, but I’m breaking my rule. John reached out to me and has been very kind, and I’m hoping for the best. I will most certainly share a photo of my case when I receive it. I have no doubt it will be great .

This has to be the most childish pissing contest I've ever seen on AZ, or anywhere on the internet for that matter. I think John and Lou need to get a life!

+1

But at least John can admit when he's wrong, and he actually provides something for the pool community.
