Yeah, it's not the greatest indicator of skill level. In my area it's used for BCA 8ball league. We have quite a few really talented players with Fargo scores running between 600 and 700.

There are 103 players in the league. One would assume the top Fargo rated players should have the best rankings in the league -- highest ball count/points for total balls pocketed, highest win ratio when comparing wins to loses, most games won, most runouts, etc.... But just to show how insignificant Fargo scores can be within a certain range, the highest fargo rated players aren't necessarily at the top of the stats. Players rated between about 580 and 660 are pretty much even players. Maybe it's because the scores only account for how well you play 8ball.

Anyway, for the last 3 years, which is when I started playing the BCA 8ball league and my Fargo rating was established, the top players in league rankings have not been the highest Fargo rated players. And my teammates had a great laugh, and were a little envious, when my Fargo dipped below 600 and I was downgraded to the Gold division in Vegas rather than playing in the Platinum. :thumbup:

THIS from the guy who in fact IS the biggest legend in his own mind. Nothing more, nothing less.

What is your Fargo rate, Lou? If his ratings are ca-ca yours are only higher due to diarrhea of the mouth and unknown so you just make it up. Nothing you play can be charted.

You can test his ratings though. Qualify for the US Amateur and maybe, just maybe you can go head to head if your destiny is in the draw. If not, play a side match. I'll put $500 on Cookie.

Will you play for that out of your own pocket without a backer? Or are the TABLES not the brand you want to play on so you won't even try to qualify. (one pocket isn't a part of the tournament. 8 ball or 9 ball match)

Qualifying can be easy or hard depending on your region. The dead money we sent from here were low 600 fargo players. It's a tough row to hoe if you don't live in the area of the tournament due to expenses. Have to really be committed to travel across the country to play with no prize money.

I don't have a FargoRate because I don't play anything but 1pocket.

Cookie just stays in his own backyard. Has he ever been to the DCC? Maybe a US Open event in Vegas instead of some league sponsored bs? I can still play a little 8ball somewhere if he gets off his porch ;-)
