You're going to see a lot of lies and hatred toward CTE aiming and Stan Shuffett's master encyclopedia of a modern way to play the game in this forum.
Stop and ask yourself "why do these guys hate his work so much and why do they constantly stay on the attack toward it?"
Their motives are anything but altruistic...it's really simple jealousy and they have been at it for years and years.
IGNORE it and study the Master Encyclopedia "Center Pocket Music..Improving your Pool Game with CTE Pro One" by Mr. Shuffett @ justcueit.com. You'll be happy you did.
Having said all that...you will also be happy to hear the following:
Working with that book at the table is a godsend. Just a matter of rehearsing and doing what's written down in the thing. I like the preciseness of the written instructions. Instructions written by a player who can demonstrate the effectiveness of said instructions. Then if it "doesn't work", I know it's MY fault and not the instructions.
Sic 'em….(y):)

Look out! Protect your boots! 👞:poop:

On a real note, does the victimhood approach really drive sales? Does this bring out the white knights in everyone? From what I've read on CTE, it seems it would be able to stand up on it's own without the great underdog story woven in by its users. Can we just skip to the part where the bully gets his black eye? It's all so trite, you need a new story arc.

It's not about jealousy. It can all be summed up in the link below Why does mohrt adjust his tip so much when he finds the NISL on this shot and not on the others? My argument is that the real aiming occurred at 2:58 and everything before that is relatively meaningless.

You're not fooling anyone who has a grain of sense.

LURKERS BEWARE..!!!!
IGNORE the naysayers, smart alecks, and those who lie about "having a civil conversation". Their conversations have never been civil when it comes to CTE Aiming. Re: An old Motown hit by a group "The Undisputed Truth" back in 1971: "smiling faces leave no traces of the evil that lurks within".
Having said that, we will now proceed to the good news concerning CTE Aiming for a modern way of improving your game of pool.
In the master encyclopedia of pocket billiards, "Center Pocket Music" by Stan Shuffett, we find very important study in the chapters dealing with perceptions, both at ball address and in full stance.
Stan reveals how the 30 perception was "king" with Hal Houle....it can be the same for us as students.
Since the book teaches us that a 15 inside and a 30 outside are interchangeable, if there's some lingering doubt which one to utilize, we're on safe ground in shooting it with a 30 outside. (since we have nothing but the edge of the object ball to worry about). Furthermore, there are times when, as a student, we're not quite sure whether a shot is a 30 outside or a 45. Through a process of elimination, if we examine a shot and see that it is NOT a 15 inside interchangeable with a 30 outside, then we're left only to conclude it is a 45....(you won't have any trouble recognizing a 60, but that 45 can be visually tricky) . Proceed accordingly.
Such is the material for study in that master publication "Center Pocket Music". Take it to the table during rehearsals and actually CARRY OUT the instructions therein. Those instructions are terrific confidence builders as well as fun to execute while watching the balls go into the pockets. The only one who will NOT enjoy any of that is your opponent in a contest.
Unless you want to be condemned to a lifetime hell of taking foolish risks at the pool table with 'like a rifle' approches, fractions, invisible ghost balls, 'throw' here and 'throw' there, deciphering degrees, angles, velocity coefficients, and other scientific(?) mumbo-jumbo....dive into this modern study of shooting pool balls and watch your pool shooting life change
As the Good Master the Nazarene said biblically, thousands of years ago........"Go thou and sin no more, your faith has healed you"

That right there is enough to close off this open mind. Glad I made the purchase I did. Not really a fan of prepackaged Koolade anyways. Too much artificial sweetener.

Re: "Smiling Faces leave no traces of the evil that lurks within"
:)I don't recall trying to fool anyone, I said what I said. I just think the way you carry yourself by wearing "victimhood" as a badge of honor is pedantic at best, and probably closer to pathetic. From what I've seen of CTE, it doesn't need your "woe is me" angle to be successful. It works, why muddy the water with the underdog story you insist on? You're taking a great system that can stand on it's own and dragging it down to whatever you're on about. Why do you let the "detractors" live in your head rent free? As an outsider, it seems really annoying and potentially turns off people who don't deal well with serial whiners.

I've been trying to avoid these troll fests, but it's tough. CTE is kind of like Star Wars, it's great on it's own, but when you run across the fandom, you instantly want to distance yourself from the wackos.

I had planned on giving an honest, as objective review of the system as possible, but I don't want anything else to do with reviewing it. I think it works, and I will probably incorporate some things from it, but I don't want anything to do with the nutty fandom. I'll just leave it at that. Poor Stan, makes an excellent system, then gets followed around by a bunch of pissy assed whiners for years. Enjoy the system and your victimhood complex.

I don't want to drag you into a conversation you don't want to have, but you should keep an open mind as to whether it works until you get to a pool table and try it.

BTW, I don't have the book but I'm interested in who the publisher is. Can you tell me?

So you buy the cheap koolaid with artificial sweeteners and then complain, lol. Just buy the good stuff right off the bat and you don't have to worry.

I'll admit it would have been a struggle for me to sign up for the CTE religion. I'm not the faith type.

No complaints actually... Not sure where you got that from. I'm quite happy with my choice.

Just a few moments in overview of poolology and you can quickly tell the system in based in fact (math) and not asking you to manilpulate your fundamentals.

Again, to me, CTE seems like being asked to stare at the weird picture with blurred vision to see the ship. Not my cup of tea...

The poolology book has gotten good reviews and for 10 bucks you can't go wrong. And the author is a nice guy and a good player. Brian and i got together and played some when he was down here on vacation last year.

Back at you, Dave. You're 100% legit in my book, character and playing wise.

I plan on coming back soon. But this time we'll play somewhere with food, a place where we can have a drink too. I gotta admit, having stayed up too late the night before, celebrating my brother's wedding engagement, only to be stirred out of bed by a girlfriend who wanted to go thrift store shopping, I really could've used a burger and a beer when I got to that poolhall. Lol. I walked in and asked for a beer and a menu, then asked if you were there. The kid pointed to the back and said, "That's probably the guy you're look'n for, but you can only buy beer to go, can't drink it inside. And we don't have food." 😐

Had a good time anyway, despite the lack of food and beverage.
