CF shafts and spin

Who told you they aren't? Nobody who has actually tested them (I even gave you a link to the one who has tested them the most).

Why do you try so hard to stay uninformed?

Duh.

I played with a CF shaft for 3 months........ so I know they are not low deflection........... I had to learn to compensate for the high deflection........ I went back to my maple shaft........................

Probably loose carbon fibers. It stops after a while.
I have no idea what he's talking about. For one thing you very seldom need to wipe it down with the alcohol wipes and when I do there is no black coming off at all.
yes I have tried CF shafts... I also make them....... they are as stiff as a piece of iron and do not bend or flex........... when you hit the cue ball off center to the left or right........ the shaft does not deflect much at all....... they depends on how tight you are holding it in your bridge hand........... the cue ball deflects a greater mount than the shaft............ and you must account for that in your aiming when using side spin................ again:::: anyone that says a CF shaft has low deflection............. has no idea what they are talking about
You don't have to allow for deflection any where near as much as you would with a maple shaft. That's the beauty of a good carbon fiber shaft. Same as when you apply glisten and have to allow for throw. BTW, you exaggerate a lot. No way are they as stiff as iron and they do flex and they do have low deflection. That's a proven fact so why spread false information??

I do make carbon fiber shafts. I've had blanks of different styles and from different manufacturers. Blanks that were both specifically made for pool and blanks that weren't. All of them can be both ld and hd. It depends on the inserts and styles and materials used for the ferrules, etc...

WTF??? Are really this slow?? Most of those cf tubes that are available on ebay/etc have wall thicknesses near the tip that are too thick. You do know that cf shafts can be hi or lo deflection, right????? Wow. Just 'cause the shaft you made was hi-deflect. means that ALL cf shafts are?? THAT is most likely THE smallest data sample ever collected.

The data doenn't lie!

Hi
Wondered if I could get some input on cf shafts. I took a couple shots with a predator revo last night and I liked the way it hit, just felt like a solid hitting cue. Didn't hear any funny pings or anything, then again, my hearing isn't great.
I've read write ups on them saying they put more spin on the ball, allow you to get around the table with less effort than an average maple shaft.
I'm wondering if people that have them find that to be true.
Also, any other advantage they see in them.
Thanks for any input.

those are all selling points ....

When I bought my Predator Jainil Panthera from the Predator Group I ordered the Revo shaft. They gave me 30 days to decide. I already had the Cutec Synergy on my other Cue and a Table in my basement. For 30 days I experimented then scent the Revo back for the 314-3. Then ordered another Cutec Synergy for it. I agree with everything 9ballhasbeen said and as far as black coming off the shaft on the alcohol wipes, that only happened the first time I wiped it down but hasn't since and I play about 5 days a week. The Synergy has a nicer finish and is quieter with just a slight more deflection than the Revo.
