Hi I'm new here and was looking for a new cue. I see everyone wants money send through PayPal ff doesn't this take away any insurance from PayPal? Thanks

Some sellers here have a track record of years and 100's of good transaction's and are very well known on this forum.
So you are pretty safe dealing with them.
If you look under their name by their avatar you will see their record and can click it open to see.
But you have to do what is right for you.
You can check out Cuesblues on here, I know him and he lives not far from me and he is honest and will treat you right.

Thanks for being so helpful, I'm still trying to figure everything out. I really appreciate all the help and how friendly everyone is.

What's the best cue made Fatboy? That should be a good argument lol
That argument happens regularly. Best answer i have seen is there is no best cue, but the cue you like best.

Dont buy a cue off a new member. Measureman is giving you the best advice there, scammers around lately, dont do paypal ff. Make sure they have a strong reputation. There is an occasional deal in the for sale but most for sale are customs. If you dont want a custom cue order from seyberts or pool dawg.

Good luck and welcome to the monkeyhouse.

One word of advice. If you do look for a cue here ask the established members for advice. They are always ready and willing to help.

Welcome to AZ and yes the NPR section is like the wild west but all in all fairly harmless at the end of the day...

You picked the wrong guy to ask...his "Best cues" are priced beyond most of us...;)

(edit) Are you a beginning player? If so, the suggestion above to start with a production cue is a good one. Pool is a game where it really is the indian more than the arrow with the caveat that it needs to be a decent arrow. Inlays are nice but not necessary. I'd suggest a cue from a company with a good reputation...go with average weight (19 oz) and tip size (13mm). After you've played a while, your preferences will become more clear to you...

McDermott, Viking, Schon, Jacoby, Joss, Pechauer...all are good playing production cues...and there are others...I'm just saying cues I have had some experience with. Others here will list other favorites. Also, don't give a lot of weight to what the pros play with. They play with whoever gives them a good sponsorship deal.

Black Boar 2009-2012 were some amazing Boar’s. Then things changed a bit. Still amazing cues. Searing-if you can find Denis (another topic)

Szams are my favorite overall, the history, the Gus, Barry story.

Best
Fatboy 😀

I am an ok player I guess, I don't shoot league but I have shot against some apa 5-6s ran them over fairly easy. And yes I know that's not saying much lol.
