Gus Szamboti price check

Yeah, the more I look at the pic, the more I think someone is funnin' with us. Unless Andre the Giant is holding on that butt, that cue is tiny.
There's a case almost right next to it, looks the same size

I say we get one of those online measuring thingys and measure the fingers at their widest point. Then estimate the remainder of the cue butt outside the fingers. We can use yellow and chartreuse lines to help define the width of these fingers. And of course those fingers should have been lower to the center of the cue for a proper analysis.

Here is a great example. Because of my camera angle this pic makes my hand really small and the cue look Ginormous.

You guys are very funny

Some might recall a thread I posted a while back which should go a long way toward explaining the "Andre The Giant" sized hand. I wasn't embellishing my story, this is that guy's mit. :)

If anyone thinks an original Gus is not worth over 15 grand.. Consider that an average everyday Southwest is well over 5 grand and more.. AND they are still making those!

Well today the Cue market is IMHO not what it was say 3 - 7 years ago.

Market is fickle, and very unpredictable. Stuff that should sell fast, sits, and is bumped, and bumped.

Also I think the collectors who once were buying, selling, trading have died off. Or become old & out of game.

Value is what buy asks, true value is what Cue changes hands for when sold.

Good example is how many Sugar trees are F/S right now? Use to be when one was posted it was sold off in 12 hours or less.
