Nicest pros?

I was curious who are the consensus good guys in the sport. By "good guys" I mean friendly, good to fans, etc., not ability. The camera time the professionals get is minimal compared to even a second-stringer in more popular sports, so you don't get as much feel for the players' personalities. There are some (Naoyuki Oi) who seem like enjoyable goofballs & others that seem like jerks, but I'd be curious to hear opinions & experiences.

Thanks.

top pros that would talk to a lesser player for more than say a minute and also give some playing advice:
old schoolers:

bill stroud
mike massey

cicero murphy

Tough question to answer.

If I had to pick just one, and I’ve met 100 of them over the years Mike Massey would probably get my vote. He’s nice to everyone and is genuine, does lots of charity work as well.

That answer is based on him as a person not limited to my interaction with him. It’s a general answer.

Nick Varner

I met him at Main Street Billiards in Mesa, AZ. Apprently he and owner were long time friends.

Nick did sort of demonstration, questions, and answers. It was right before Christmas, so if 7 people showed that night that was not what I expected. Expected large group.

Nick was down to earth, answered everyones questions, well worth long hour plus drive to Mesa one way.
