FEEL IN AIMING

Cookie, nice try. But here's what just happened with this guy, PJ, and ALL of the math wizards who are locked within their mental confinements that create barriers to any of CTE, Shishkabob, etc. They absolutely cannot, under any circumstances, think OUTSIDE the box!

Here are your words and concepts in action:

It’s nice to establish that they don’t know what they don’t know lol.

Each center to edge line hits the OB in a different spot creating a different angle. As does each edge to center line. With each ball position a unique set of lines are created. Every set up while using the 15 is exactly the same but creates a new angle because the lines are unique to each ball position.
Two ball positions that fall under a 15 outside are shot exactly the same.

So if what you're describing isn't insane, what's different? How you see the "lines"? "How you see" them is the definition of feel.

If you see the same two lines over and over and over. What part of that is feel?

The part where they look like different alignments.
Let me know when that happens lol
Here ya go...

The setup is exactly the same but "the lines" are unique to each ball position? Does “each ball position” mean each cut angle?

They especially don't know what LATERAL THINKING is either. Not a clue. Hal was the ultimate lateral thinker when it came to
regular pool. As far as the most creative and highly skilled to hit, pinch, squeeze, curve, jump, and fly the CB to make balls all over the table has to be the trick shot pool artists. They can come up with some ideas and ways of doing things with a cue stick and CB that is mind boggling. How does that work? Can it be easily shown in one of their 2D drawings?

The all-knowing trolls on AZ revel and brag about the fact that "I'm an engineer". We believe in math, science, physics, geometry, trig and if it can't be shown in one of our bullshit 2D drawings with lines, circles, and math formulas that ring true for everything pool and on Earth, it's total horseshit. "We in all of our collective minds and reasoning have denounced CTE, the creator, teachers, and users because IT/THEY don't conform to OUR written and spoken rules as to how the game of pool should be played in the area of AIMING."

"Not only do we rule on pool forums, but we can't be beaten either. Now there is a good reason for that and it's because we're scared shitless to be humiliated by these low life, ill educated, peons that don't know what we know and won't play them. If word ever got out that we lost and got our asses stomped into the ground, it wouldn't be a good scene especially if a hefty chunk of change was involved. Our online images would be destroyed from the humiliation."

"Thank God (actually we don't believe in God) for the existence of AZB where we can say whatever we want any time we feel like it to these sub-humans of aiming."

(me)
I wonder if any of them ever considered that some of us might be involved in science also. Not their "color and paint inside the lines" science but the kind that goes way outside the box. Naaaah, they're to self-absorbed and self-loved.

Does each one of your inane posts mean anything factual about the method? I'll answer it. NO, NOT IN 25 YEARS!

Great post! It applies to you except for the fact that you don't think or realize that it does.

You have no clue what we see or how we see it. If you think you do, please write it to the best of your limited clueless ability in your next post. Tell us what we see between CB and OB.

On a different note, here's ANOTHER Pat Johnson post from many years ago that totally contradicts himself today about feel and what should be seen:

The carom tangent helps my aiming, too. Visualizing in tangible, physical
terms is always best for me, and seeing the contact point as the one which
will send the cue ball along the tangent line (assuming no draw or follow)
makes it all more "real" for me, actually helping me to align the contact
points more clearly. Of course, it also adds a lot to my visualization and
control of shape.

One thing I consciously try to avoid, however, is "intuitive" shooting. To
me, this means unconscious use of information which is more effectively and
consistently used if done consciously. Consciously applied information also
becomes part of my shot-making "arsenal" applicable to less typical shots,
and another building block in my learning process (rather than one more
deposit into the intuitive "black box"). Also, when I'm "off" only the
things I can consciously apply will reliably get me back "on." Trying to
regain my "feel" is like groping around in the dark.
Pat Johnson

He was the "whiz kid know it all" back then also. Except for the 180 degrees that he posts today because it doesn't fit the
"Destroy CTE Agenda."

This is why I no longer argue or engage in the back and forth bs when it comes to CTE. I have my opinions on how and why the system works for those who work with it and learn to use it. And they adamantly disagree with my opinions. And I'm fine with that.

This "debate" has been going on for a couple of decades now, and neither side is willing or is capable of considering the other side's opinions or points. Yet both sides keep at it over and over and again, expecting different results. That's insanity. And it's such a waste of time and words.

If anyone wants to learn what CTE is about, go to a certified CTE instructor.

For me, I finally came to the realization that if anyone wants to question or debate the hows and whys of CTE, this is not the place to do it. The topic is just too explosive.

There IS ONE here almost every day! They don't want to learn what CTE is about. They want to badmouth and eradicate it if possible. He's treated like he knows absolutely nothing by the individuals who really know absolutely nothing.

All in all, a good post you made Laddie.
