Dang, Efren lost first round 9-ball (to Robbie Capito). That's really gonna hurt is Master of the Table chances. He's still undefeated in one pocket and placed 15th in banks.

I only wish i could have gone to JC one time. You know the buildings are still there. Be cool to have a event there one more time. I think its a mattress store now. The golf course they built, StardustGolfClub designed by Geor.Jansco, is still there and open. I think where we get twisted up is when we invest *so* much of our time and energy into the folks/ideas we root for
so much to the point where we detract from ourselves, and are by default putting our hopes and dreams on others
if they "win," we're elated- but if they fail, we feel bad and naturally, blame them- cos on them our happiness relies
I don't think we *want* to build up a hero just to them tear down, but we definitely do it. we don't have to, tho...

We started the same year. Seeing The Hustler inspired me. I didn’t really get serious until 1962 when I went off to Oklahoma U. They would actually let me play pool in the Union building there. Back in Dayton I had to sneak into the poolroom at age 17. No one under 18 was allowed!

rooms were 8 bucks at the stardust and we bet hundreds and more on all sorts of pool bets. now they bet ten bucks if you are lucky.

Not going for you-you didn’t miss anything. For those who didn’t have the EW days or Reno etc. the current version of Derby is cool. But it’s very vanilla compared to the past. Milk drinkers and over priced casinos, no food.
Which leads me to my idea. It’s just a dream with a name right now

We gamble! It’s only a 10 day event so we don’t need rooms! Hustlers welcome, no milk drinkers allowed. Our 5 balls are orange, money is green. No casino to distract you, but if ya want to bring a keno board, please do. 3 card Monte and backgammon too!

But I’ve been a degen since I started video games in 77. I can’t stand video games now, but I’ve been an addicted to “some game” since I was 11, I’m 56 so 45 years of making anything but working or school a priority.

I can't find the brackets to see who's left in the one hole. I don't see the link anymore for either current or completed matches on the dcctickets page. Is it working for anyone?

The Completed Matches list is working. If it comes up saying "Error" just reload it. Looks like there are either 6 or 7 players left for Round 11, depending on the outcome of a Round 10 match between Pinegar and Raga. The others still alive are Chohan, Filler, Pagulayan, Reyes, Woodward. The last streamed match tonight starts in a few minutes -- Woodward vs. Filler, both with 1 loss.
