Spanish Open, June 2023, from Matchroom

I had to come in here to see if Ko forfeited or what.
Thanks for the updates. I hope that match airs somewhere I can see it one day.
We could start a GoFundMe for your DAZN sub. ;)

I was also wondering about the forfeit.

i like stats they show. sky's performance is to my knowledge the best in these MR open events after kacis semifinal (against sky) in the UK open. meanwhile hoang is clawing back in an error strewn match against bijsterbosch. 7-9.

I mentioned this maybe a year ago or so, but Sky's game really took a jump during the Turning Stone event, that culminated in an ALMOST epic come from behind win against Shaw. It was like that very match allowed him to play with total freedom and he's been playing that way ever since. Super impressive.

Labutis has a much shorter, jabbier stroke than most of the other young European players but it obviously gets the job done.

A shot clock for only the Last 16 is what Matchroom has been doing of late in their big tournaments -- 2023 UK Open, 2023 World Pool, 2022 US Open, 2022 European Open.
I don’t complain about slow play normally but jesus … I tried tuning into Tyler’s match yesterday and over 2 hours in and the score like 7-4 lol good lord. I can’t sit for that. Sorry.

Yes, and he's had Fedor in the chair since 4-3 behind. Labutis now leads 7-4. Playing lights out.

Fu Huan won the FSR junior open against Nuno Santos, the portuguese young star. Nice to see the future stars having some battle.
