FYI, I just posted a new video that demonstrates everything you need to know about kiss-back shots, where the CB double-kisses off an OB that is frozen to or close to a cushion. I cover useful techniques, an aiming system, and game-situation examples where you can use kiss-back shots to your advantage. I also covers rules associated with kiss-back shots so you can use them without risking fouls:

Contents:
0:00 - Intro
0:19 - Basic Safeties
1:46 - Carom Shots
---- 2:29 - aiming system
---- 4:05 - fancy follow caroms
5:56 - Sidespin Shots
7:20 - Fouls
---- 10:00 - angled hits and stalemate example
11:42 - Wrap Up
---- 11:49 - shot montage

As always, I look forward to your feedback, comments, questions, complaints, and requests.

Enjoy!

You missed showing kiss back banks. 1 common 1 in 1 pkt- banks object ball to your hole and dbl kisses whitey back to your side.

As always a very well done presentation .

Great stuff as always Dave. Here's a real world in game situation that won me a set....

The intent was to brush the 4 open over the side off the 3, but needed to scramble once I missed that target.

Note, I hit the shot with draw. ;)

It’s good to be reminded of frequently overlooked options. Especially when successfully getting safe seems a very low percentage.

Great stuff as always Dave.

Thanks.

Nice shot!

Although, you don't need nearly as much speed as that. Is there a reason why to chose to hit it so hard?

FYI, there are two errors in the video that have been found to date. Can you find them (without looking at my posted corrections in the YouTube video description or pinned comment)?

Good stuff. The late Jimmy Fusco, an old friend, was a guru on using a double kiss to make a ball that appeared unmakeable.

FYI, this video focusses on kiss-back shots, where the focus is on the CB and what it is doing.

I cover many other types of double-kiss shots, where the focus is on what the OB is doing, in this video:

Enjoy!

Well the smart play would have been a safety with the CB buried in the corner to my left.

Figured I had a swing at a 2 way with the 'kiss back'. Either I drop the 9 or I have a strong likelihood of running the CB off the 9 to top of the table. That's why the excessive pace. I wasn't 100% committed to the game winner.

Agreed. But that ain't no fun. :geek:

Understood.
