Texas Open 9 Ball ????

Yes, super play by both Styer and SVB. Shane had 6 B&Rs on 8 breaks; Tyler had 5 on 9. Shane missed 2 shots; Tyler missed none (unless you want to count a long jump shot).
Didn’t Shane beat Tyler 9-8 in the finals of a tournament just recently?

Patsura vs Styer .

I hope Tyler can overcome cooling off waiting for the final and pull it off.

Who’s Patsura? Is he a young up and comer?

Vitaliy Patsura is the champion pro player from the Ukraine < he barely got out of there with his girlfriend. IIrc, Vitaliy won the Texas Open 9 ball last year. He's a super nice young guy, living here in Chicago now, and watch out - this year he's been steadily learning One Pocket from me (y).

Congratulations to Tyler Styer; he is the 2023 Texas Open 9-Ball champion.

He went undefeated to claim the title and a nice payday.

Great event for Vitaliy Patsura, taking 2nd, and Shane Van Boening, taking 3rd.

Congratulations and fantastic shooting, gentlemen!

Looks like his marriage has done him well. Playing the best pool of his life right now. Hard work does pay off!

I'd like to congratulate Tyler Styer on winning the 2023 Texas Open 9-Ball.
In order to win the title and a large paycheck, he went undefeated.
Congratulations on your well-deserved triumph over Vitaliy Ptsura, Gomez, SVB, Sky, and other top competitors.
Tyler, great shooting!

The match to remember was the hill-hill encounter with SVB for the hotseat.
Great break and run when it counted most under pressure at the end.

That's a new Tyler Styer. This guy has made himself into a champion player. That looked like a Filipino style run out. I particularly liked the way he played position for the three ball from the two, on his opening shot after the break. That was a high level shot and he executed it perfectly. Most players would not dare to take that route. That set him up for the rest of the rack, but he still had some tough going on the four and the five. That is what it takes to win at this level. Nice job there Tyler!

Hope he bought half of himself in the Calcutta.

Congrats Syndro... err Tyler! This is Tyler's look when he's in the chair waiting for his turn at the table.
