I don't know if forced is the right word, but I think in terms of trying to make Team USA, then I think he had to play in this event to have a chance.
Were there any table roll-offs? I tuned in for just a few min earlier today and must have caught between a match. The crew was re-leveling one of the tv tables.
couple of monsters will wreak havoc on loser side. biado, ko ping chung, mika, melling, ralf, malai, kiamco.. also either of villafuerte/sky and wilson/big ko. tough tournament this.
He was posting all week about it on social media so it seemed like he was excited.

Yes. There was speculation about the thick carpeting, as the problem is widespread.
Can't say about roll-offs but these tables are clearly playing different than those at the US Open. To me, they are playing a bit looser and the rails are not as slidy, allowing for a little more english-oriented position play than in Atlantic City.
If you need some entertainment, tune in to the yt stream featuring the antics of Do Khai. He makes Sigel look like a statue. It's pretty hilarious to watch.
I was trying to watch Someone Something or Other play this Do Khai dude, but my wife made me shut it off. She said I was laughing too loud and was going to wake up the kids.

he was on the outer tables yesterday with the same antics captured in photos on MR facebook. stance like a billiards player, body english like mccready or paez. funny to see
sky won his match 9-3 over villafuerte. i believe villafuerte has higher fargo than sky so a telling result.
