Busty calls out The Pearl!!

I'd bet on Earl, if he picked the table/rules, and the cue ball.
But they must play....
Sets, best 2 outta three races to 13 with a dinner break if tied a set a piece.
and an break between sets.

Anytime I'm getting called out for a money match, negotiations are part of the game when your a Real Gambler rounder.

But the pinoys want to remove the gamble, they want to make sure, luck doesn't win.
Can't blame em at all.

With loose pockets and break from anywhere in the kitchen, Earl has a chance. On tight equipment, I don't think he has much of a chance.

Having to defer rules/ equipment, etc...choices to another is giving a handicap.

Imo, earl has virtually 0 chance to beat busti, and the chance gets closer to 0 the longer they play.

I watch Busti a lot on-line gambling. He is still damn tough to beat. I don't think Earl plays near enough tough matches to hang with him. If it happens i'm loading up on Francisco.

This would be interesting in that both player shoot relatively fast so no time clocks needed. Watching modern day nine ball without a time clock is akin to watching paint dry. I'd say this match should be pretty close to a toss up. If both these guys were in their prime I'd go with Earl no question.

From watching Earl's matches the last five or so years it appears he starts out almost as good as ever, but then loses steam pretty quickly. I suspect his biggest obstacle at this age is endurance. The only way I could see him being competitive in a race to 100 would be if they only play something like 10 racks a day. So I'm taking Busty on this one, as much as I love Earl's game.

Only 5yrs apart in age.

Who did Earl play on Sharks a few months back, I think it was a race to 63? Was it Kiempko? I know it was someone closer to his age than the young guns.

endurance maybe but these races to 100 are too goddamn long anyway. earl's break is way inferior to busties though.

earl does his exhibition stuff and is doing alright it seems, got a girl that's keeping him in check too, i doubt he'll bite on this. besides "anytime, anywhere" - doesn't bustie have visa issues with the US?

Agree on the race length, don't like 'em either. I'd rather see three out five races to 15-25games.

Understood. I've noticed Earl's endurance issues. I don't know about any for Busty.
I watch Busti on-line playing kids half(or less) his age and he still wins a lot. Earl would need a lot of luck to get there. Busti is also FAR more mentally sound/stable at this point. If FB got a hot start Earl would self-destruct.

If Earl's head is screwed on straight that day or two, it would be a coin flip. The problem is the probability of that happening. Earl can still REALLY play when the stars align. I lose track of time, but I believe it was just a few years ago at the Turning Stone Earl beat Shaw and SVB back-to-back by very lopsided scores. Earl was dialed in and running through hard racks like practice on a loose bar table.
