MOSCONI CUP 2023 AZB Watch Party / Master Thread

people come at me with "Oh his fundemental is good" who cares if he cant pot easy balls and when he wants to kick he make fouls?

Game 8

Woodward breaks dry and leaves a thin cut on the 1 near the top corner pocket. They discuss how to get on the 2, the Ouschan gets down and pulls it off perfectly. They should get out from here, USA needs them to make a mistake. Filler gets straight on the 5, and asks Ouschan to just draw it back for the cross-side bank on the 6. This could be the shot for the match - Filler drains the bank and gets perfect on the 7. The 8 and 9 follow.

Europe wins 5-3. Ouschan is undefeated this week.

Tyler should take time off and practice being a house husband. Its better for his family and his career.

This mosconi is done next match....I wouldn't believe if the new guy actually pulls it off. Alcaide will eat him alive with his pure luck and skill.

Should be 9-4 if Tyler wasn't completely out of his depth.

Bergman needs to play next year.
Again I agree with you 100% Tyler is pointless as I said in my previous 3 posts from yesterday. And ALSO I AGREE with Bergman, he's a good addition to the 4 USA team without Tyler, cause tyler playing for europe.

I think I know how to save Mosconi Cup (and any other team competition): there sould be only scotch doubles (and even triples).

Like recently MR did with their World Cup of Darts. Before this year a match consisted of two singles and a double (if required). No wonder stronger players simply dominated minor countries. MR finally went for a change and ditched singles, and the event flourished, became more open for a surprise.

he doesn't travel. are they gonna arrange the MC in bergmans hometown?

I come over to AZB to find out what's happening, and this thread had 40,000 hits.

Shane Wolford is in a challenging frame now. If he wins, Americans stay in it. If he loses, it's all over. Lot of stress.

Shane Wolford walks out to "Little Red Riding Hood" by Sam the Sham and the Pharaohs. He's a little young to know that song. David Alcaide walks out to an AC/DC song. What a contrast!

All this harping on Tyler is out of line. He is out there battling and never gives up. All the U.S. players have struggled this week, not just Tyler. I think his game has greatly improved this year and he will only continue to get better. He earned his spot on this team! Nobody handed it to him.

Thats what they said about SVB in the early TAR days.

Game 1 - Wolford v Alcaide

Wolford wins the lag and breaks, dropping the 1 in the side and the 2 in the bottom corner. He has a look at the 3, which he plays nicely by the 5 which was partially blocking the corner. The table sets up nicely; he should have a break & run. He makes a nice force-follow on the 8 after landing straightish on it, and he's out.

Score 1-0 Wolford
