I bet the person not shooting will bet 500 a shot for a loooooooong time.

I dunno about all that but doesn't sound unreasonable either way.In PR lingo, '$500 a rattle' means each bet! Not a single bet.
Don't neglect Mike Litterest.so far in the thread:
* suggestions that a different shot can be made (i.e. not on third diamond)
* videos of a different shot being made
* mika doing push-ups
* anecdotes of how some old timer regularly made the shot
* bet you this bet you that
i'm still sceptical. third diamond is a different proposition altogether than second or 2.5 diamond
Looks like a thin cut to me, from the speed and the rebound angle of the CB off the rail.He played it with a double kiss.
The first time I saw the shot made I almost fell out of my chair, Rudolpho Luat made it. the cueball was on the same line but not in the pocketA pool player stated to me that this shot can be one railed to the same pocket where the cue ball is placed in the corner pocket … He stated he saw a guy do it like it was nothing …. I told him the shot was impossible… Please let me know your thoughts ….
I doubt it siri seen andrew clearly do it, ill try to find the video
Quite a bit less (pic below). Your famous 90+° cut shot (the dotted lines) is way more impressive. As for the OP bank, from the geometry, it looks to be less than a 90 degree cut, ignoring throw.
Or Eddie Taylor for that matter. You would off lost your BR betting against Bugs shooting this shot back in the day!
"I lost to the fat guy"Fancy one
The Bank is Far More difficult than the cut shot! For the simple reason the OB is frozen to the cushion and can't be 'thrown' with 'Outside English. But the OB can be 'Pinched' into the rail with 'Inside' English the way I demonstrate.Quite a bit less (pic below). Your famous 90+° cut shot (the dotted lines) is way more impressive.

Nice shot! I'm going to go try it now, but from the second diamond, because I stinkAlex's shot took me 9 tries. I think I had the 9-ball closer to 2.5 diamonds than Alex did, at around 2.4 diamonds. His looked like 2 and 1/3 diamonds. Had a couple misses by 2" long that still reached the pocket, so it's definitely doable at 2.5 or maybe 2.75 diamonds, maybe even 3 with the perfect strike.
Thin cut, low right, and hard:
Thanks. I'm pretty sure Alex's was just a thin cut, like mine. Those still frames show it on a thin cut line, and his CB took nearly the same bank path as mine, just hit about a half diamond shorter on the opposite long rail.Nice shot! I'm going to go try it now, but from the second diamond, because I stink
Do you still think Alex's was not a double kiss after shooting yours? I think yours was 1 rail normal, and Alex was double kiss. Look how his CB flew off of the OB in a different direction than your CB.
Having the CB in the pocket is a whole other animal.Alex's shot took me 9 tries. I think I had the 9-ball closer to 2.5 diamonds than Alex did, at around 2.4 diamonds.
