US Open (9 ball) 2024, August 19-24, Atlantic City

The player field sure has changed since the first U.S. Open 9-Ball Championship in 1976. We used to have more American pros back at that time, and today has more of an international flavor.

300K in total prize money. We're getting players from countries in Asia that we never see here, such as Vietnam and Indonesia. Once they make back their nut, I heard the Pinoys can live like a king back in the Phillippines. Same for Vietnamese. Taiwanese are out in full force.

Tyler also just got out of surgery so he’s not exactaly at his best right now.

I still think we are going to get trashed lol
Apparently it wasn’t the surgery he really needs, a heart transplant.

What's with the giant boots Earl is wearing? Those soles must be 3 inches thick.

I'd guess he's decided that his frame needs to be higher to be more accurate.

Same with all the tape on his cue -- he thinks it improves how he holds and delivers the cue.

I just saw him talking to someone he needs them because he’s playing with the longer cue 🤷‍♂️

Earl laying into Labutis :ROFLMAO:

yea i heard that. a bit harsh but pijus should know he doesn't mean him, but the jump cue. earl did make it to the hill without jumping. at 63 years he still runs out better than most. these middle pockets are TIGHT but in the 1st match he whipped in a ball from a severe angle and ran 3 rails into position like it was nothing

I think he's talking about me.
