Woodward screwed up even more after Alcaide dogged the 6 in game 8. when he undershot the 6 and left Gorst in the worst possible position on the 7, making it extremely hard to get above the 8. If Sky had hit the 6 just a hair bit harder, getting from the 7 to the 8 would've been a cinch.

Oh, well. As Jack Webb used to say, "In America, there's always a tomorrow".

Sky has played very well, but he badly flubbed that leave. Cost the US a crucial point and lost them the day. He also should have let Gorst go for the bank later on. There was no easy safety. Instead Fedor rushed into a bad shot as the clock wound down.

What's the shot clock rule? Do you have to actually strike the cue ball before the clock expires or do you have to be down on the ball and can no longer get up?

Yes the fans are a little rude but talked to a few European players and they were okay with it. One exception was probably when Kaci gave someone in the audience the finger. But saw Ruiz Alcaide in the elevator later and they were cool with everything

Set this bank up and shoot it cross side and tell me how it goes... Take as many tries you want. I say you wont make it. Because it need thicker hit than half ball. It is double kiss.

Sky was right about the middle. But I do agree with you that the bank in the bottom corner was on, and is easier than the cut on these tables, but the bank to the middle was just not on the cards.

I don't think Fedor would resort to banging but you can airborne shots of that type.

cant get both. Hit is too thick for that. I would either just bank 8 to end rail containing safety and let opponent try long bank or i would try bank it 2 rails side pocket. 2 rail bank have cueball dangerous close to corner though..

I didn’t hear completely but I thought fedor was just going down for the shot to cut in the corner. Sky then suggested the safe. Fedor said he could get it and then butchered it. I think that sky should have left him alone- he got in his head

Should have gone balls to the walls and banked it in the bottom corner. Would have blown the roof off.

Ok i admit I was(and Sky) wrong. I tested it and slow half ball you can barely dodge double kiss. Cueball will end up far to side rail for difficult 9 ball though...
