I mean DAZN! Come on, who's watching that?
I won't bother to resubscribe to DAZN. Yet I will leave my monthly subscription to Matchroom.live running.

Sky has played very well, but he badly flubbed that leave. Cost the US a crucial point and lost them the day. He also should have let Gorst go for the bank later on. There was no easy safety. Instead Fedor rushed into a bad shot as the clock wound down.
He didn't badly flub that leave. It was actually sort of a bad roll. Anywhere but right there and Fedor could have more easily worked the cue ball into position. Sure he wanted to roll down a bit further but that's what happens when forced to cross the positional line. One more or one less cue ball revolution and they probably win the rack.

Side Note: Those are the types of shots SVB gets away with all the time in his individual play because he powers the cue ball around so well.

the cross-face bank was on in the side
and the bank to the corner was lined
up perfect
It was a hanger and the side pocket plays big coming straight into it.

Too much conversation between partners and too many times trying to leave your partner perfect versus just making the ball.

What's funny(est??) about the Mosconi is how how players that would jerk-off to the dream of playing 600Fargo are the first to knock how these guys should play. Was watching some random MC chat and the comments were just insane. Amazing how many 800Fargo keyboard artists are out there. ;)

It's funny... I watch the Mosconi and see a miss or a bad shot I and usually say "He shot it like I would"

Believe it or not, I just set this shot up on my table, and banked it cross-side on the first try. It's a crossover bank shot, and I used a fair amount (about one tip) of right English on the cue ball. But then, that's what I do...I shoot banks.

Now, don't get me wrong, it's always easy to miss a shot like this, and I understand why someone might be hesitant to shoot it in 9-ball. But it is possible to bank it.

For the record, I have a 9 foot Gold Crown, with rails that were rebuilt by RKC.

I refer to Jays long post. His comments are very valid but he is watching, as many of you, on whatever media. What you are not getting is what it is like in the venue. I was there yesterday. The music blared like at a pop concert. We could not converse with our neighbor without shouting into their ears. It only stopped during play and announcements. My ears are still ringing.

Then what you most likely did not get was the utter disrespect and rudeness displayed by the audience to the Euro players. The rude comments shouted out during their play was unreal. Every miss by them was greeted by jeers and comments. During the final doubles, when the Euro player was addressing the 8 ball, the entire audience erupted with USA USA USA in an attempt to put him off. Is this what we want in our pool events? I was ashamed to be an American.

I watched 3 or 4 Mosconi cups in Las Vegas and really enjoyed them. The atmosphere was great and some of the interaction between supporters was great. But at least all players were respected when lining up their shots.

This experience was so bad that I decided not to attend today. I just scrapped my tickets.

I saw Stu there. Would like his comments

It’s the beauty of the internet and social media. Keyboard warriors outnumber real warriors 100:1 🥸😜

A few points from my perspective:

People need to stop saying Tyler should not be on the team.
He has been a productive member of the team with wins against the Europeans in and out of the MC.
He works as hard on his game as any player in the US, and is in action more than most.

IDGAF about the crowd. The AP crowd have been far worse in some I have watched. It's about time the US fans sunk to their level -the Euros will not suddenly stop sharking the US players if the US fans continue taking the high road. Fair is fair.

If Shane or Fedor get in gear today it may motivate the other by taking off the pressure. Let's hope that happens.

I agree with all who mentioned the comment sections in the streams. It's laughable how rude the viewers can be.
I was happy to see the hosts deleting and banning some comments and those making them.

I agree with Jay on the MR/DAZN partnership doing more harm than good.
Even Redbull has a cable channel. We don't need Disney/ESPN to pick it up. There are other options.
They can also stream it on a YT channel like Kozoom, since most TVs are smart TVs these days.
If it's free to watch anywhere, it should also be free to watch for the US half of the fans.
Few pool events can grab the attention of even non-players as the MC can.
It's their biggest opportunity to expand the fan base and they deliberately limit access and exposure.

Skyler has done a better job with the lineups than JJ ever did. Keep him in that role.

I'm glad to see it's competitive this year.

It falls on the refs. In the past Marcel or whomever would tell the crowd to calm it down when the players were down on the shot. Haven't seen that this year.
Maybe they were told to let it go.
Could be crazy next year!

What time do they start today?
I thought the gal doing interviews said 6, but dazn says noon.
She could have been on European time.

The last time a team came back from more than 2 points down after Day 2 was 2003. Europe was down 3-6 after Day2. Day 3 Europe won 5-0 to lead 8-6 but USA turned it around with 5-1 final day to clinch the cup 11-9. That must be one hell of a rollercoaster cup with multiple momentum shifts

I hate this so much. When talking and hearing takes so much effort. And does it really add to the party feeling when the audio is 2-3 notches too loud?

Judging from Europe it feels like the recent elections have empowered the boisterous and obnoxious types. And these types don't really like Europe so they go extra hard.

I may be wrong
