I knew smokers who pulled in smoke almost to the day they died. Some people nagged them. Thirty or forty years smoking, a few days or weeks weren't going to change anything. I left them alone. Mom and dad both died from smoking related causes. They both knew the smoking was killing them but neither stopped. Their choice, foolish as it was! It might have made a difference years before. I remember dad did quit for months one time. Cigarette prices for filter kings hit two dollars a carton!
