As Rexus said FAR more billiard related stuff changes hands on Ebay/FB than on here. Also, some of the buyers on those sites are not as savvy as the wily masters here so you can often get better prices. Another option is consignment if you have a good poolroom nearby.
This is the hardest place of all to sell these day's. I recently discovered my wifes Facebook acount she abandoned years ago and sold 20 or so cues in just over a week. It was overwhelming! I will never list so many items on FB at one time ever again. eBay is always solid. it will sell eventually if you are even kinda sorta resonable. I used to always offer items here first and if no takers I would add 20% - 50% and go to ebay. I always made a sale one way or another. Now I might post here for the heck of it but I expect a sale to come from somplace else actually.
AZB has changed so much over time, and not for the better! that I don't really feel the same way I did years back. The truth is I used to have a loyalty and that was stripped away. Now I enjoy reading and interacting with a few folks, but it just aint the same. Like all things, AZB too will go away and we will all conragate someplace else and talk about it.

Yes, it’s gotten harder here and with less high end / rare items up for sale over the years. However, AZB is a lot safer (it’s not perfect) and much easier to look into a posters history and trustworthiness here than on FB
IMO. eBay offers super buyer-friendly protection but at a cost.

But ultimately agree that you’ll get a lot more eyeballs on a post elsewhere, however there’s a trade off.

The number of posts per page seems to be 5, 10, 15, 20, or 30 at each member's choice (or "Inherit from system," whatever that means). You can select one of these choices by clicking on your screen name at the top right, then on "Preferences." Is it possible that the moderator and Mike use 30 posts rather than 20 as the measure for "first page"? Have you had more than 4 posts within the first 30? But, as noted, it seems that some 2-way communication here would help.

Learned something today, thank's
Edit, just looked at mine and do not see anything in the circled area.

I glanced through the thread and I might have missed it but was the the infraction explained by Mgmt? Was it because no photo, price or specs?

When the moderator and administrator agree the rules were violated, further explanation is nothing but redundancy.

Looks like the bear got poked. Don't.

I am still not clear what the problem actually was. What did he actually do wrong if anyone cought that?

He doesn't know, that's the problem. He blocked me, but it's still valid and I'm not holding that against him.

I actually asked what the default # of posts per page(5, 10, 20, 30) and haven't been answered either.

I think that answered would fix the issue.

I didn't know you could choose the # of posts per page either.

If somebody can message him and tell him I'm actually trying to help him I'd appreciate it

The default number of posts per page is 20. I didn't know you can change that and have now went to 30 to avoid any such issues.

What an idiot. You, that is.

AtLarge tried to explain to you that you need to set your post count display to 30 and see if that solves the problem. You respond, "I don't know what you're talking about...".

You make no effort to understand what every other member understands. You seem to just want to bitch because it makes you happy. Carry on; I certainly won't read further.

FYI, my preferences page does not seem to have the option to set the posts per page:

Quick question: Would it even matter if the op increased the number of threads he can see on HIS first page? I'm thinking the moderator would be basing everytrhing on what he (the Mod) sees on his own page.

Am I right about this.

I don't believe anybody can message him.

That happens when you poke the bear.

This has been bothering me. Issue is what you are preventing others from seeing, not what you see. Right?

Other "real" question is whether "wallpapering" is wrong and needs regulating. (I say "Yes!") We were taught this lesson many years ago in a song "Don't bogart the first page, my friend . . . "

Folks,
The for-sale section is not within my Moderator purview. That being said, please consider the tone that you take when communicating with the staff. We're here on our own dime, volunteering our time, in an effort to help Mike maintain an enjoyable experience for our members.

Also, please consider that you are able to sell your items here, without any listing fees, or final sale value fees. You are being provided with a free medium/platform, to help facilitate the sale of your items.

If you are concerned about having too many listings on one page, then an easy solution would be to just list multiple items in one posting.

Just a little food for thought.
Best regards
j2

We should all want a "vital" for sale page -- in and out -- not one bogged down with bumps. Bumps after a while are fine, but this "me first, me first" needs to stop. To me, rapid bumping reeks of desperation. As a seller, is this a message that one needs?

1000% incorrect. I’ve always valued my membership here since 2008 and have never taken advantage of the forums in sly ways like you suggested.

we deal with a lot of people here and its impossible to keep everyone happy... just follow the rules and helps us to keep this going for a long time so all can enjoy

'the 30 first posts'?? what exactly does this even mean? its beginning to sound like the OP has/had a legit beef. what's he so hot about exactly? seems like we're getting two sides that are pretty far apart. just curious is all. i think you mods kill it and do a good job for us loonies.
